  1. Visiting in August, and that completes visiting all of the provinces of TH Pattani Yala Narathiwat
  2. Technically legal ... NO Tolerated, possibly even endorse by corrupt Imm officers in 3rd world countries ... Yes IF issued by an Imm Office via agent, then no worries. But as suggested, I wouldn't send my PP & money to anyone online.
  3. Still cheap as chips, though depending on location, Qs may be problem. Wife had surgery recently and only extra was for the private room. Rest was ridiculously inexpensive. And the food was better than I had at BKK Hosp @ Udon Thani ????????????
  4. Don't think anyone will miss it, especially missing the appointed senators in the end.
  5. @OneMoreFarang I think I should have said 'drip' coffee, although rarely made in coffee shops, and they use espresso. "Difference Between Americano and Drip Coffee Once again, the difference between the two is that drip coffee doesn’t have espresso shots. But Americano does, which is why its flavor is comparatively a lot bolder." My 'drip Americano' is 3 to 1 ratio, water / coffee by wt/ml I'm not going with the 'lot bolder' from Thai coffee shops, especially since I'm using 50gr of coffee to start. Most people think I make coffee too strong. Go figure. On topic as always .... something to splurge on with that 1M ... fancy espresso machine. Our coffee machine is 15bar, and I think too strong to extract a good espresso. Not much difference in my coffee, whether I make it from the machine, French Press, or Moka Pot. Use drip since easiest. Actually the Moka gives the best yield for a strong cup, but more effort, and I like filtering out the cafestol, with the 'drip' method.
  6. What does that say about Australia ? ???? "Australia mines about 53 percent of the world's supply of lithium, and virtually all of it is sold to China." Common knowledge, so didn't bother with a link ... Google is your friend. I think they are starting to see the error of their ways though. Just halted China's attempt to invest in another mining op.
  7. Rain during rainy season making the news almost daily here ... mind boggling. Bang Saphan Hospital hasn't even be flooded yet, and that's usually a yearly occurrence ???? Doom & gloom of drought ... no takers Doom & gloom of rain now ... ????
  8. Not seeing what y'all are crying about. Added a human side to his character, and didn't take anything away from the plot lines. She's only cast in the 3 eps already released:
  9. So much for quality parenting. Red flags out no doubt. When in the surf, my daughter was next to me at all time, even in calm water. Taught how to swim & float at an early age. R I P
  10. Excessive noise is not charming. And plenty of ICEV are very quiet, and have nothing to do with the silent EVs. Our last ICEV was very quiet. People should actually look, before crossing the street or changing lanes/directions while driving. To blame a vehicle is silly.
  11. Microwave on 'defrost' setting. It will take more than few hours in the frig. If going to microwave or cook again to heat up anyway, then fairly safe to defrost out of the frig, as we've done it many times. Too speed it up, set in a bowl of water. We defrost uncooked meats that way, if not planned ahead and defrosted in frig. Defrosts very fast in water.
  12. That's 2 more than me ... ????
  13. Yea, I'm not the frivolous shopper myself. My houses here have been custom built for me. Don't think I need or want a more comfortable cars. Both far from expensive. Toys ... I thought ฿70k / $2k USD was a silly price for a camera lens, but turned out to be worth every baht. They offer a better one for $13k USD ???? that actually has limitations to it ???? My friends use to think my dining out budget in the USA was silly, or holiday/diving priority over working 5 days a week, but I didn't have kids, so no real budget concerns. To spend $1M in 10-20 years, I'd have to be a bit frivolous with spending, especially if it was extra, and still had my pittance of an income ????
  14. Hey ... that's what I was going to offer, but didn't as not pet friendly. OP paid too much in the beginning. He'll need to come down to at least 15k if serious about selling. Why not give to a family member as a gift ? Does look nice though, GOOD LUCK.
  15. 7000 USD or AUS ? USD = ~ 240k THB ... you ain't getting much for that. 'minimum for safety' .... I wouldn't worry about safety, at that price, for SUV, you'll be lucky if it starts or doesn't break down, so I guess very safe if can't drive it. You really need to up your budget. I'd be concerned about the wife being stranded in the middle of nowhere, when it breaks down, than the vehicle's safety record. A more safety conscious concern.
  16. Gourmet Markets, Hua Hin (overpriced beef also) will have 2 for 1 selections, which I'll get occasionally, though only if eating there. 'You Hunt, We Cook' with grill them up quite nicely for free, if having member card. Makes for an excellent beef steak munch. And if timed right, can wash it down with your favorite suds, Beer Lao Dark or wine cooler, a Full Moon Dark ????
  17. Any 'Good Samaritan law' would only apply if they witnessed her body in distress. "Thai Criminal Code: Misdemeanors (Sections 367-374) Whoever sees any person in life-threatening danger, in spite of the ability to assist without fear of danger to oneself or the another person, refuses to render assistance shall be liable to imprisonment for not more than one month, or a fine not exceeding one thousand baht or both."
