  1. I lived & worked there for 5 years ... nuff said Hot, high temps in USA ... nothing new there. How hot ... Damn hot
  2. Our MG ZS EV 2022 (Oct & now)... ฿949K, 50.3kWh battery (46.3kWh usable) MG EP ฿771k ... 50.3kWh battery Nissan Leaf ... 40kWh, usable 39kWh ????
  3. On Nissan site TH, back up to 1.490M Or, you can buy his & her MG EPs for less, which are better spec'd.
  4. And yet, there's supposed to be a shortage, or so some say.
  5. 7-11 or look for Basque burnt cheesecake, as usually good. The Neighbors Cafe Hé House Home Cafe Day & Nigh of Phuket

  7. Hot weather & heat waves in the summer time, in the USA, who would have thought that ever to be possible. Phoenix - Sonoran Desert, and people are surprised ... ???? 25 yrs ago, we used to get solid months of 100°F +/- for a couple months in the Memphis, TN area. Just deal with it. If outside, as we were, working, pace yourself, if indoors ... ... that invention called AC usually works good.
  8. Same here, never a problem. We've called many while out on the road, to make sure the Super Chargers are operational. As I suggested, Gmap for local dealer ph#s. Now we don't even bother, as that was 1st couple O&As, and not taking chances, and now, found out no need to be concerned, as too many CS around. Amazing how some expats can't seem to function here.
  9. Always helps if one reads the manual, to understand one's car symbols & notations, as you can only fit so many characters in a display. Maybe they should have tried to squeeze in: kWh used per 100 kms ???? If this is the best you guys got ... give it up. EVs may or may not be for you. Just happen to fit perfectly in my world. And I'm not bothering anyone with noise or affecting anyone's heath with exhaust. win win win for all. And saving a sh!t load of ฿฿฿ will using, instead of giving it to big Oil. Your ฿฿฿, give it to them, or spend on yourself. UP2U
  10. Gives you a ball park Idea how far you'll go, with current read out of usage. No different than a fuel gauge, actually more accurate. Another read out tells you the % of batter left, and expected range you'll get, in real time. Charging advisory @ 30 & 20%. So you'd have to be a real idiot to run out. With the abundance of CSs here in TH, pulling into one isn't a problem.
  11. Not sure 1 brand of your cars produced needs more than a decade to work the kinks out, when you've been putting out cars for over 67 years. SAIC has owned MG since 2007/09... ... "In 2007, Nanjing Automobile was acquired by SAIC Motor, and in early 2009 NAC MG UK Limited was renamed MG Motor UK Limited. SAIC took ownership of the MG brand, and from 2010 onwards, the newly released MG 6 was produced in China. Thee first all-new MG-branded model for 16 years, the MG6, was officially launched on 26 June 2011 during a visit to MG Motor's Longbridge plant by Chinese premier Wen Jiabao. By March 2012, SAIC had invested a total of £450 million in MG Motor. Sales in the UK totaled 782 vehicles in 2012. The MG3 went on sale in the United Kingdom in September 2013. MG Motor was voted third place for the 'Best Manufacturer' category in the Auto Express 2014 Driver Power survey." - wiki
  12. I'm the opposite, addicted to dairy. 2 liters last maybe 3 days, and I've actually cut back. Need my cheese & ice cream also.
  13. SAIC been building cars for 67+ years: ... "Founded in 1955, it is currently the largest of the "Big Four" state-owned car manufacturers of China" - wiki
  14. I'd try Makro if I were you. Is the Lotus's a mini, or full size. Damn tourist buying it all ... Rarely seen at Makro ????
  15. More accurate km/kWh range, for our local driving. Just got back from our almost daily, normal loop, dog & myself. Home-park-surfside-home. Since not using hwy#4, speeds <50 & >60, about half & half, as still need to use hwy#316, which is 2-4-5-6 lane, depending where & parking. 2 lane on RR overpass, and if not doing at least 60, I'll have a line of traffic behind me. 12.3kWh/100kms = 376kms per full charge (46.3 ÷ 12.3 X 100). I always use numbers on the negative side for EV, and positive side for ICEV, knowing anti EV'ers will nit pick my #s. Obviously petrol isn't ฿37/L, which I use as reference. Everything we need for daily living is within that loop, Makro, 7-11, fresh market, restaurants.
  16. More accurate local driving range per kWh: https://aseannow.com/topic/1276247-ev-owners-…-real-life-experience-help-thread/page/6/#comment-18226770
  17. Exactly my point, they stop selling because they can't compete against the new competition over the last 4 years. Who would pay 2m for a Leaf, when MG EP (better spec'd) was 1.1m, now 771k. Thais are much smarter than that. Good luck trying to sell them/Leafs @ 1.5m
  18. 25 vs 1500+ per 100k is a pretty wide margin. Times the EV # by 10, and it's still a huge margin.
  19. MG ZS 2022 Had the ICE (2020) version prior, and got 11kpL w/E85 or 14kpL w/91, both about ฿37+/L now. E85 was ~28% cheaper Oct 2020. Added plus of charging the ZS with excess solar at home. Very positive experience so far ... https://aseannow.com/topic/1276247-ev-owners-…-real-life-experience-help-thread/
  20. Keep telling yourself that ... ???? High standard of QC; "Toyota recalls its first electric cars amid fears the wheels could fall off" https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/jun/24/toyota-recalls-its-first-electric-car-amid-fears-the-wheels-could-fall-off Other players are so trustworthy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_emissions_scandal You anti CH folks are a crack up ????
  21. That Leaf has got to be one of the worst cars made, especially at the selling point when there wasn't much competition. Cutting their price 50% is a bit telling, and still overpriced.
  22. Yep ... same as most car companies. shh ... never let facts get in the way of their spins.
  23. Better include a lot more cars other than just MGs, as many have Chinese parts in them. Along with most products sold worldwide today.
  24. If something to hide, then most companies here are hiding something. As it seems to be common place here, especially if asking in English, as suggested. @up2you2 Go to Gmap, and get the ph # of local dealer, and ring them up... or just pop in.
