  1. Did you ask to speak to higher ups at the PEA office until someone agree with you being current ?
  2. Impressive, as my ICEVs at best only got me 500+ kms, without running on vapors. With petrol tanks in the 40+L range, and 14 kpL. Seems range is a non issue moving forward. I still doubt if I want to drive more than 3+ hrs for any stretch of highway driving in TH. Compared to lower spec'd prices of imports from JP, ฿1.325M - ฿1.599M for the Seal is far from expensive. Over my 4 wheeled budget 🙄 thrifty shopper than I am, but same or cheaper than many cars we see on the roads. No wonder it's racking up the sales #s 👍
  3. Agree, especially if living in TH, as already posted, 30k a month for 30 yrs, and that's without any investing.
  4. E3 on x1337, and enjoyed it. Thanks for 'The Good Liar' recommend, as really like the leads. Trailer looks familiar, but the rest, not sure if I saw already on not 😂
  5. @Pappap sounds good ... just make sure your transfer in shows as an international transfer. You can verify this by asking for a 'Credit Advise' after you first transfer. That will track the transfer, point to point, home country to Thai bank account. As far as leaving 800 or 400k in after extension, simple ask when you extend. Might be good to have the 3 or 4 previous 'credit advises' to show the IO of your intent for next extension.
  6. Yanks ain't the smartest of international travelers, but most of those are just silly. Sharks ... definitely not a stretch. OZ, SA. USA; HA, CA & FL, well known for too man nibbles. The Carolinas aren't much of a surprise either.
  7. @H1w4yR1da Phahon Yothin 7 Near Ari BTS ... you find find many farangs here, but everything else you'd want is there. If alcohol isn't a requirement, there's some great Halal/Muslim/S TH fair around the Mosques. Some excellent massamans, curries & roti. Again, no farangs, as their bigotry won't allow it. Besides the requirement for alcohol to have an enjoyable time. As stated earlier, Krung Thep is a city of neighborhoods, and some excellent stuff out there, just leave the tourist ghettos. Big fan of the Khlong San area, and neighborhoods along the MRT Blue line; Phasi Charoen & Bang Khae, though a bit further than just over the river. There area SW of the Prannok Pier is quite nice. Options bound.
  8. That all air fryers, and the only disadvantage of not have dual heating elements. Other disadvantage is size, as we just had 2 going. Wife was using the larger 12L one, 2 layers of chicken, and I tested a chicken breast in the newer 4.5L one that stays on the counter. 4 mins one side, flip, 7 mins on skin side @180C .. damn tasty. Noticed wife was cooking @ 220C in the other. Top rack finished about the same as mine, bottom rack needed about 5 more minute. No flipping in that air fryer. Racks allow the air to actually circulate. Yea, we could have cooked them all in the 56L convection oven, but she already had it started. Thought I'd test a breast in the newer one, as have only done thighs before.
  9. That's why Gmap is my go to for research. Photos from customers. I'm rarely surprised. Unresearched restaurants, I've actually asked .. "is it going to look like the photo" and many times told, 'it's just a photo from internet'. Usually can tell by their reaction, how far off it will be. Always an added plus when a restaurant is busy, as many times I ordered what I saw someone else eating or what strolled by while I was deciding. Always take a slow stroll to your table and gaze around what's on the other tables.
  10. Making falafel, though the flavor is a bit off, from the only ones I ever had. Texture & crust is OK, need to tweak the spices. Maybe less parsley, (miscalculated dried vs fresh) more garlic & some sage, though think the sage isn't traditional. Think deep frying instead of air fryer will give them a better crust.
  11. I disagree ... far from disconnected or unorganized. It's a well oiled machine. Once they push digital currency through while everyone is talking about the woke, and never going to happen WW III, that will be the final straw, and total control will be all theirs.
  12. Interesting thread ... now I know who all the vocal Aussies are I find those claiming to be indigenous, only have a starting point involving themselves. USA & the Americas ... indigenous. Depends how far back you want to go and based on what flawed, unproven 'theory'. Early human migrations
  13. Apparently I was wrong, it is diverse:

  15. Their reporting is getting worse everyday ... IMHO Photo isn't even current ... "A view of the city amid air pollution in Bangkok, Thailand, February 2, 2023. REUTERS/ Chalinee Thirasupa" And when was 70 'points' ? ever considered 'good'. That would be 'moderate'.
  16. Yes & No ... chickie stopped me for peek, stating ... "you come TH a lot, every month, why" "I have wife" "OK, go ahead, not prob" Males ... not so friendly.
  17. Thanks, but I'm well aware of Australia, island, country, continent, as I did attend school. USA immigrants, legal & illegal also come from all over the world. About 1M legal, and 1-2M illegit a year attempt to gain entry. Also know many parts of OZ are beautiful, just not as diverse as the USA. Not a slight, just a fact, and didn't mean to offend any of you delicate Aussies. Mountains is stretch, and highest is only 2228m. And I have a very good idea, thank you.
  18. NO ... she's peeked a couple time when next to me, and simply rolled her eyes ... to be kind. It would actually be embarrassing if she read AN, in all manners of thinking. She, like myself, can't understand the hatred of TH & Thais, and people still live here. Though realize now, most members don't live here, which seems even weirder. She probably wonders why I bother at all, with some of my comments, while reading: pervs, grumpy, ignorant, stupid, bigots ... just a few of my thoughts, while scanning some threads ... She does appreciate the solar & EV info we got ... 👍 From my first query when joining, and reason for. Not realizing it was TV rebranded. Oh well, such is life.
  19. Obviously from the vid, I know locally it's the land of pineapples (Batavia), coconuts & rubber, more so the former. Though didn't know 37% of the province is dedicated to pineapples. A good thing, as take 1-2 years to yield fruit, and may fruits again. If making the effort, the plant has a 'pup' plant, which may produce another. "Only one fruit is produced per pineapple plant. Sometimes you can harvest a second crop, the ratoon crop. Remove all pups but one ratoon (a pup emerging from underground). This pup will develop into a mature plant and produce a fruit in the same space." That's all a good thing, keeping the air pollution from burning down, vs rice, sugar & corn crops. burning once or even twice a year, to prep for planting of the latter crops. Same with coconuts, though the palms are collected and if not used, burned. So all 3 main crops are a bit more eco friendly on the local air pollution, than other areas growing rice, sugar & corn. Thailand being the 6th largest producer of Pineapples, (slipping from 4th (2017) and there's a Dole processing plant up the road a bit, west of Hua Hin. Along with plenty of collection stations off Hwy 4/Phetkasem Road. Think the rest is all common knowledge. Hua Hin as main tourist destination, then beaches southward, attracting less foreigner, and more locals that tire of Hua Hin's congestion & prices. North to south; Pranburi, Sam Roi Yot, KuiBuri, Bo Nok, Prachuap Khiri Khan/Ao Manao, Thap Sakae, Ban Krut & Bang Saphans before entering Chumphon. It's quite the long province, along with being one of the thinnest, at <15 kms in some stretches. Hills to the west, easily visible, w/Myanmar on the other side of. From the back wall: South of the house, all coconut groves as far as one can see:
  20. Update on milk power, as once read you couldn't froth it, for my cappuccino. The Diary Rich frothed up with no problem, same as regular full cream milk. Increased about 100% volume ☕
  21. Tires still looking good, as peeked at last service (20k) and had then rotated. Engineer ... yea, that thought crossed my mind, if able, practical/cost wise, if able to make a better tire. I know they make different for different speeds & weights, but have they max out on specs. 33k ... whoa. Don't think I ever spent more the 10k for a set. Know they'll be more for the MG ZS. Nothing to compare to, as didn't need tires for the ZS (ICE) as only had 40k kms on it when sold.
  22. W T F ... file a complain my A$$, I'd show up at the school, and bring bail money with me. I had an issue with one teacher at daughter's school, when she told her she would do the shaving thing that they like doing if her hair was compliant, which it was, just not to that teacher's liking. I told the teacher I'd shave her whole F'g head if she touched my daughter.
  23. We've averaged about 20k kms a year since I've been here, and seems to be very consistent, as put 20k on the EV at the 1 year mark. Tire manufacturers could always just make a better tire, or we'll just have to change more often. Our EV is 500kg more than the ICE version. Plus for us, it's just the 2 of us and the dog, not really hauling any extra people/weight around. If that's about the only added negative owning an EV, then I'm happy. Not having a couple 1000 more parts to worry about is a fair trade "How many car parts are in ICE vs EV? In fact, there are about 20 moving parts in an electric engine, compared to nearly 2,000 in an ICEV! EVs are very cheap to run because they do not rely on petrol or diesel ..."
