  1. It's called a Republic, and why some folks shouldn't join in the conversation.????
  2. Why do you have the NEED to shoot a deer? ... I don't, even stated it earlier, and implied in other threads. Has a deer ever hunted you for your meat? ... ???? You can buy the deer meat in a supermarket. ... that would defeat the purpose, and 25kg of free venison works for many.
  3. All the people (gun owners) I knew, not 1 owned an AR-15, or anything like it. I'm going with personal knowledge & experience. And from wiki: "Hunting Many hunters prefer using AR-15 style rifles because of their versatility, accuracy, wide variety of available features, and wide variety of calibers (see below).[89] Collapsible stocks are convenient for hunters who pack their rifles into remote hunting locations or for length of pull adjustments to fit any sized hunter.[90] Construction with lightweight polymers and corrosion-resistant alloys makes these rifles preferred for hunting in moist environments with less concern about rusting or warping wood stocks. Positioning of the AR-15 safety is an improvement over traditional bolt action hunting rifles. Many states require hunters to use reduced-capacity magazines. If a hunter misses with a first shot, the self-loading feature enables rapid follow-up shots against dangerous animals like feral pigs or rapidly moving animals like jackrabbits.[89] Hunters shooting larger game animals often use upper receivers and barrels adapted for larger cartridges or heavier bullets. Several states prohibit the use of .22 caliber cartridges like the .223 Remington on large game."
  4. Seriously ... ???? "sample of 2,104 gun owners, including 399 AR-15-style rifle owners" Next time they might want to ask the folks in Wisconsin, with over four million people with registered hunting licenses, tags, permits, and stamps (2021). Also, wouldn't the #1 use be 'self defense', since simply there 365 days a year. Those that hunt (legally), only get a week or 2 in some states. So if answering a poll, what would come to someone's mind first as an answer.
  5. Actually they, America Flintlocks for hunting used 30, 45, 50 & 55 caliber ball. Not something you want to get hit by. And yet, we read about loonies stopped, before & during a shooting by law abiding, firearm carrying folks ... go figure.
  6. And you would know that how ? The .223 is a popular round for hunting, and varmint shooting on the ranch. The Ruger Mini 14 was advertised originally as a 'ranch' rifle. Will agree, many do buy the AR-15 for their ego, since it gets so much press, and looks military. Frankly I think it's overrated & extremely overpriced. Pretty easy to accessorize, if that's what you're into, but can also do that with many, again, such as the Mini-14. And that comes in SS ????
  7. Please stop calling them automatic weapons ... it sound silly and implies much ignorance. Different states have different hunting rules & seasons, and what can or can not be used. Not much difference if you shoot 1 round at a time, and reload, or have a mag of 5. Though if hunting, you'll only need or get off 1 round. One could guess, it's so idiots don't try to keep shooting at a moving target. Maybe a hunter can chime in to clarify, as I am not.
  8. probably because I mentioned 'search engine' in the post immediately before yours. ????
  9. I only drink real milk. Calories I don't mind, but prefer not to have 25 ish % of my saturated fat for the day in 1 small serving of milk. Doesn't leave much room for my other 'vices'.
  10. Next time you go hunting for deer, try using a 22 short. Then again, I guess you could shoot 20 or 30 times, then track it down & cut it's throat. You know, the humane way to hunt ... ???? Same way with home protection, use that 22 short ... ???? Some people with NO firearm knowledge, really shouldn't post. "How can any country keep guns away from loonies?" You can't .... that's why some folks prefer an equal playing field. Hence the problem of keeping firearms away from law abiding folks.
  11. Maybe because someone asked, or needs a bit of help, when negotiating sites with a krappy search feature. Why would you care ?
  12. shh ... I know that .. as always, moderation I cut way back, and try to keep it under 400ml a day vs 1 L, as was prior usual amount, or more????
  13. just type 'AQI + location' in your address bar, or Gsearch, as same site you use, but their search engine sucks
  14. Yea, that's me also. Good friends, maybe 5ish here in TH. Easy to tell, if I've been to their house, and or got invited to mine .. if not, you were just an acquaintance. In Udon Thani, use to meet up with a few every month, sip a few and solve the world's problems. Here/PKK, I know only 1 family, good friends though. Could be they just like the Brownies & the bread ????
  15. Yes ... If flavored, or has 'added' sugar. That's what labels are for. Would think anyone looking for 0 - low fat milk would actually read them. IF looking for cream, half-half, 'barista cream/milk' (my favorite label), then you really need to read the label, as whole milk sometimes has more fat content. Real cream & H/H will have, but the other krap ... read the labels.
  16. Pfft ... I get offered the latest iPhones for $1 USD ???? You're getting ripped off ????
  17. 0% and 2% ... haven't notice, or looked for 1% You have the same amount of sugar, in all milk, if that's a concern:
  18. Internet AQI sites will disagree with you AQI 79 ... 25.5µg/m³ / 5.1x healthy ... Hat Yai AQI 72 ... 22.1 µg/m³ / 4.4x healthy ... NST AQI 89 ... 32.2µg/m³ / 6x healthy ... Chumphon AQI 69 ... 20.1µg/m³ / 4x healthy ... Phatthalung AQI 66 ... 19.1µg/m³ / 3,8x healthy ... Trang AQI 46 ... 11.1µg/m³ / 2.2x healthy ... Satun ???? Info sourced from: IQair.com
  19. If referring to MM2H participants, it didn't force any to leave that already had, as they were grandfathered in. Only had to meet 2 new requirements; ... higher fee ... be in country for 90 days a year Also more like a TH resident visa, and also appropriately silly priced. Not many other options to stay, like TH, as they apparently prefer not to have the problems & riff raff TH allows in. SMART MOVE IMHO A 10 yr visa to start Allows you to own a house, which they'll even finance. Bring <21 yr old dependents with you for free education Can work part time or even have a business.
  20. Agree ... and the Ruger Min 14 is not on the list, but uses the exact same round as the AR-15, and will accept high capacity mags. Reading the 'fine print' elsewhere, not only the name on list, but the feature. So if your Mini 14 doesn't have a 'folding stock', then possibly not banned ???? IF they simply redesign how it loads, as detachable mags will be banned. All the firearms I had, my most powerful, Mauser 8mm would be legal, since no clip, no folding stock & proper length, but I could repetitively reload 5 round in 5 seconds, if wanting. Along with another, that is barrel feed and held 10 ish rounds. Just silly legislation. Yet does nothing to stop the criminal from accessing whatever they please. How about a mandatory life sentence with no parole, for anyone, possessing, selling, using an illegal firearm. That would be so much more practical ... but what do I know. Surprisingly, I actually agree with the law ... ... yea, I said that ???? As nobody should need more the 5 round (top loading), no mag, to hunt or protect your home. They do make speed loader, so the ability to load 5 or 6 more round in a rifle or revolver takes mere seconds. But I do think, they need to simply enforce the laws they have on the books already, instead of the revolving prison doors. Make the crime, not worth the time.
  21. shh .... never let the facts get in the way of a good spin ???? and leveled off a bit .... so lets see what the next 5-10 yrs does. Must be all those EVs ... at least the ground level air smells better, when ridng scooter behind an EV.
  22. We visited 3 or 4 times the past couple years, so I guess the winds were blowing smog over every day we were there ... ????
