  1. Dual track doesn't equal high speed. Compared to highs speed lines in other countries, TH will be like driving a car though a school zone. About as fast as their planning to completion has been. "In October 2010, the Thai Parliament approved initial proposals for a high-speed rail (HSR) network. Five lines capable of handling 250 km/h (155 mph) speeds would radiate from Bangkok" work in progress 🤣
  2. Appears I was correct the first time ... it is a Chinese vehicle
  3. People not paying attention is a bit scary. As it appears driver wasn't, and only loss control after he realized he wasn't, and over compensated trying to avoid the MBs. Getting rear ended (not in a good way) is scary here, especially at traffic lights.
  4. ACA benefitted so few. Just another corporate scam the masses fell for ... ... hook line & sinker Simply raised the cost of health care for those that pay, with less coverage, larger deductible. IMHO
  5. I really should start getting stoned before reading the forum, it may be less painful
  6. Your ignorance shines ... 😂 ... higher cost - cheaper than Toyota Cross (made in TH) .... ins ... less than the ICE version, also 25% higher insured value ... resale, now has a higher insured value than a new one 🤣 ... lowest maintenance & operating cost of any ICEV ... expect 500k kms, trouble free from motor & battery bank ... thermal runaway .... that's funny & BS ... 3-4 hrs on Thai roads is all I want to drive at 1 time. ... have no desire to sell, why would I ? Trolling a 2 week old thread 🤣 Have a nice day, troll on bye bye
  7. I need to start selling bread ... 😂 😎 Cost me about ฿30 to make a loaf of white bread (870gr)
  8. Need ... NO ... but nice to know. Insecure is something I'm definitely not. Hard to say that about anyone that leaves the safety net of their home country. Planned wisely or not, which would be a different adjective. EU/UK ... no thanks. Czech Rep (Pilsner area) ? S. America, too much negative press, though I did speak Spanish. Anywhere else, and either ignorance of, or not weather friendly, including USA.
  9. Thanks ... ... reassuring to know, I chose wisely 😂
  10. 45 yrs living in USA, and really didn't experience much of what you wrote. People I know there, complain about inflation, but that's about it, going on with living, and quite enjoying themselves. TBH, I can see many of them, a couple maybe, moving to TH and being happy here. Too 3rd world and economically depressed (slum-ish). Like their comfy lives there. I just got bored with the place. 25 ish adult years was enough. Same here, almost, 23 yrs, but too lazy to move one. I'm flexible, and could live in either, I think.
  11. To the title .... people that ask that question, should be deported & banned for life to enter TH again.
  12. You use 2gr (1 packet ) for 400ml cup of coffee? Would think the directions call for 120-150ml of water. I use 30-35gr of fresh ground coffee for 400ml of coffee. That's fine grind & seeps for 10 minutes, in French Press.
  13. Guess by now, you know whole wheat & low carb is a bit of an contradiction. Whatever you had in Holland (50%) was misrepresented as 'whole wheat', more like something else, w/whole wheat. Calling it whole wheat just raises the price. I'm in the 'wheat bread is fine for you' crowd, though personally don't make whole wheat that often. Along with no sugar in mine, so it's more on the complex carb side of things. Hua Hin Bread
  14. You're not far off, as I was going to agree with you, but then thought I'd check first, where the series is set. Quite surprised myself, though it is/was a HiSo neighborhood in Calif. Book set in NY. I grew up in a mixed neighborhood, sort of. Late 50s/60s, but it had a definitive border, and strange as it was. 1 side of street, white, other side, black. Us poor whites, lived on the 'other side of the tracks', which was only 1.5 block deep. Better off whites, then the RR (4 track lines), poor whites (1.5 blocks, <200meter) then all black beyond. Not until. 80's, many places the same, and this was NE, USA, not the south, where the divide was still obvious is some places (2000). I could tell you stories, but off topic enough already. On topic ... Yea, I have the same problem when watching series & movies, when woke is unrealistic. Can usually tolerate most of it, if not too silly and movie/acting is well done.
  15. And for the price of more than a few cars, you may even be able to get a 'Lucky 9' license plate. "On December 10, 2022, the auction of 9กก group plates of Bangkok took place, and the new record was set at 45,090,000 baht (about US$1,300,000) for "9กก 9999 กรุงเทพมหานคร"
  16. Siam Pharmacy is a chain, with many locations.
  17. I do torrents ... so not sure where to stream. But yes, S3 👍
  18. "Despite this disgraceful history, Los Angeles was also at the forefront of the struggle to end racial covenants—a story that connects to the historic neighborhood of West Adams Heights, commonly known for many decades as Sugar Hill. Non-Caucasians were restricted from owning or leasing property in West Adams Heights as far back as 1902. When the covenants began to expire in the 1930s, some, but not all, property owners signed agreements renewing the restriction on Non-Caucasians. In 1938, Blacks finally broke the color line in this neighborhood when businessman Norman O. Houston, one of the founders of Golden State Mutual Life Insurance, purchased a home in the area at 2211 S. Hobart Boulevard. Houston waited three years to move in, fearing a backlash from his white neighbors. Once he did move in, other members of the Black elite followed, including actresses Louise Beavers, Ethel Waters, and Hattie McDaniel. (Ms. McDaniel was the first African American to be awarded an Oscar when she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 1939’s Gone with the Wind.)" 19. Check that, as for single root, your molar will have 2 or even 3 roots, so 25k-35k would be more accurate, sorry about that, and @ Hua Hin. Last crown I had was 12k I think, but quite some time ago (Udon Thani).
  20. Very heavy rain last night, with light show, along with damn chilly at night. More of that El Niño, drought & hot weather 😂 GW/MMCC ... Lovin' It ... more please 😎
  21. Better wait till the 9th Nov ... hear that's a lucky #.
  22. Probably not enough tooth left to hold filling. Had same issue with a molar. 2 choices, yank it for ฿1k, or root canal & crown (~฿17k). Still have 28 other teeth and @ 68 yrs old, didn't really need .... yanked it. If not enough tooth for RC & Crown, then implant ... ฿40-50k & up depending where done.
