Pita ready to step aside if his party fails to win senators’ hearts
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And yet they voted for it. Those 3 above would be enough to vote against it. They got what they wanted, and hoping as I stated, because nobody simply cared, and not because they really are that ignorant or stupid. Hard to cry about it now though. Just accept your decisions of the past. Also the majority seem not to want Pita or MFP to lead. People who do, need to accept that also. Let's move it along ... -
I enjoyed that, something different for a change.

Pita ready to step aside if his party fails to win senators’ hearts

Actually it was pilgrim rattling on with #s: 'His party received 32% more of the eligible votes than its nearest rival, and 200% more than the second nearest rival'... inaccurate BTW Then 'catch' chimed in saying something like 'the people didn't get their choice' my reply was 38% is not 'the people' ... the other 62% matter also, the ones that didn't choose Pita. All irrelevant and only he & his party actually dreamed he'd be PM. Kids, someday they'll learn how to play the game, and actually win. -

I said that elsewhere here somewhere, nobody really cares who wins or loses the election, who's PM, as simply too busy living. -

Most of the world is vested in CH ... it would be detrimental to themselves. Why nobody wants to piss them off, including Thailand, as one of the deepest rooted with CH. Besides, as pointed out, CH helps the world, not attacks. -

Proves education isn't worth a whole lot vs guns. Who lasted the longest, as PM, and changed the future of TH's politics for a few decades to come ? -

Pure genius actually ... a coup to end all coups. They weren't stupid. Only the people that voted for it. On that, and more #s people seem to like ... referendum for that ... "approved by 61% of voters with a 59% turnout" - wiki Simply proves, you get what you vote for ... now live it. You want stability, now you have it. -

Run all the #s you want, point is, w/38%, pita was never going to be PM. He'll be lucky if he keeps his MP position. -
4 pages of 'useful' comments, any wonder why the world is in the state it is.

Pita ready to step aside if his party fails to win senators’ hearts
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I was one of those kids in the USA ... started working around 12 yrs old. When in high school, I worked the night shift till at least 1 am, and teachers use to wonder why I fell asleep in class ... if I even showed up. Missed 40 of 160 days in my senior year of HS. Cry me a river ... we are our own responsibility. I live here, been to Khlong Toei, contributed to charities that are involved there, along with charities in Udon Thani. You haven't the slightest idea who I am or what I'm about. I don't talk it, I walk it ... ... Have a nice day -
To the title ... know or care ... No & No I don't do trends, I do me. Internet to me is; ... a wee bit of news ... a wee bit educational ... a wee bit entertainment Have FB to keep in contact with all my family & friends afar, all 15 of them on FB. Only 5 are not family. IG for promo of daughter's site, and only thing I'm on there for. Twitter is for twits, as is TikTok for ding dongs. Anything else, I have to plead ignorance. I don't have any TV/cable programming, and haven't for past 30+ yrs. YT for edu/ent factor, only subscribe to <10 channels, maybe 4 active (cooking). Gmap & G for info & research, most O&As (hotels/restaurants/purchases) AN ... on & off during the day, in between living, enjoying ourselves. Usually AM w/coffee, or if raining, and or stuck in the house, then I'm trollin' your butts all day, while contemplating suicide, waiting for the dog to ask me to take her for another walk.

You may want to shop around, as we've been quoted <7k to 25k baht for our MG ZS (present insured value of 960k baht)

MFP received 38% of the votes. 62% of the people, wanted a different party. Then next two, more experienced party members received a total of more votes: -

Those that stay in school, apply themselves, don't wait for hands out, are not poor. Same same, not different, every country, aside from those war torn, and starting over. Only thing I expect from a govt is basic education, healthcare and infrastructure. All provided here/TH. The rest is on you, and your responsibility. -

As noted by others, he isn't stepping down, as hasn't stepped up yet. No sense in fighting a fight you know you can't win. -
Not that much older. I always play the long game, especially since wife is 22 yrs younger than me. Enjoy the extra comfort & savings now, and she'll enjoy decades after I'm long gone...hopefully not too soon.

As always, buy what you want/comfort level, with what you can afford. Live within ones means. Celerio definitely wouldn't work for us, NO THANKS Price difference of EV vs ICE MG ZS is about ฿200k. IF driving 20k kms a year, like we do, that ROI is realized in < 5 yrs, after that, it's free transport, using our excess solar @ home. ฿200k ÷ ฿37/L = 5405/L X 14kpL = 75,660 kms ÷ 20k = 3.78 yrs. Not counting those 7 oil changes & 2 full tune ups. Easy & quick ROI for us. YMMV

Economy wise, and very easy to calculate and realize the saving of EV over ICEV, using 91 @ ฿37 per Liter. IF having solar at home, as we do, then an EV is a no brainer. We owned both ICE and now EV version of the MG ZS. Around town, we get 360 kms per full charge. O&A we get about 320 kms per charge, since at speeds much higher than local driving. At home, if paying, say a high ฿4.5 per kWh, that would cost us; 46.3kWh @ 4.5 = ฿208 Petrol @ ฿37 to go 360 kms (14kp/L) = ฿950 O&A @ CS ... average ฿7.5kWh, (peak hours) so 320kms would cost; EV ,,, ฿347 ICEV ... ฿845
