Really? Wow you made my point. Who are you to impose an obligation on a complete stranger? Do you do this to everyone? Foreigner, Thai Chinese Burmese? Most people just go about their lives privately and most people are friendly. The last thing most want to interact with is an individual that can’t retain composure and impose on them, such as the above statement and its indicative of many foreigners I come across here. If someone doesn’t respond to you, then why not just go about your business rather than getting upset at a complete stranger? Doesn’t seem normal. I treat everyone the same, here or back in the US. OP, have your friend go bank hopping and ask what the requirements are to open an account. Not all bank branches abide by the same rules. If to no avail then an agent can help . Or just get the proper visa.

There are 3rd world conditions in every country on this planet. The smoke doesn’t make it third world here. If it does the California is totally third world. Look at the 3rd world lefty cities in the USA with rampant crime and homelessness. Most Thais are hardworking and self sufficient for the most part and they take good care of each other. Not 3rd world. People come here from neighboring countries to work, no slaves. Not 3rd world. The government is what it is, banana republic-ish but not 3rd world. And is not imposing its will upon the people, Thais are free to choose what they want to do, get an education start a business and travel, no citizen here is restricted from having a successful career but by their own impediments. Nothing third world here. If you want third world then go to San Francisco or LA or Portland, now that is some third world stuff.

There’s paid a car park out on the main road coming from the east (super highway) on the left just before the alley that goes to terminal 3. Another option is to park on the street a couple few blocks away, it will be fine. I’ve left my motorcycle in the front of the terminal for a few days without paying or using the motorcycle park back when I didn’t have a car. But if I were to take the bus anywhere, I would prefer to ride the motorcycle to the bus terminal, much easier ????

Just do what you’re most comfortable with. Whether you carry it with you or not, always keep photos of the front page and the current relative stamps on your phone. Personally I never carry it with me unless I’m going to the IO or airport. Showing the photos has always been suffice for me up to this point, though rarely ever asked, at the hospital, and recently at a touristy hotel. Photos were suffice in both cases. I’m sure if you’re questioned by IO police on the street and show them the photos on the phone, they can easily verify in the system. But then again there are stupid people calling others stupid for not carrying it with them. It’s probably more of a catch 22 situation, stupid if you bring and it gets lost or stolen. Stupid if you leave it and find yourself in a jammed with an IO with a wild hair up their yingyang

This issue may depend on the individual IO and if one is using ve to avoid applying for a retirement or tourist visa by excessive extensions and border bouncing by land and air.
