My wife in the US was probably the best thing that ever happened to me, we were best of friends and we never struggled about anything. She was a high achiever and highly intelligent, probably the smartest person I’ve met besides her father and brother. Really miss our conversations, miss having someone who knows me through and through. She died 14 years ago, then I came here north TH a year later to get away from it all, just wanted to find a place calm where the people are friendly. After 6 years dating 2 Thai women, 2 Chinese women, Korean, and a Burmese finally met someone who could challenge me on all fronts. Anyway, I consider what time I have left is as a bonus.

I honestly have no idea, maybe out of desperation I suppose. I’m sure there’s good “bar girls” and there are definitely a lot bad/ greedy or whatever non-bar girls(everywhere on the planet). Good grief there’s a lot of desperate men that come here hooking up with desperate women that end up in a stagnant unhappy relationship due financial pressure, unease with the Thai family, and or language barriers. Limited friendships due to language barriers and having too much empty time doing nothing probably would lead to some mental health issues I’d suppose.

Believe it or not, I’ve never had the pleasure of hopping in a tuktuk and don’t ever intend to either because they’re so loud, most of them have loud fart cans attached to the tail pipe. Just curious, what model were of tuktuk were you thinking of driving? You may fit right in a be well accepted with the tuktuk crowd with one those loud fart cans, though I have no clue what the tuktuk etiquettes are????
