  1. Me thinks, someone on the alleged Ethics Committee was doing the country a favour by saving the projected 450Million Baht. Will back fire come the next election in 4 years, but no probs, will have come up with new rules to ensure "The People" don't party!
  2. Yes, aka Lord Rix of Whitehall as known in Private Eye. The name associated to the famous Theatre off Trafalgar Sq, not the actual place.
  3. Thanks for update. Yep, will be buying a Tefal, should have done that first. Afterall, the 'Tef' in their name is an abbreviation of Teflon. The 'al' for aluminium, so it shouldn't rust.
  4. Bought an Air Fryer over a year ago. Great for single portion of frozen fish & Chips, and other frozen stuff, as well as snags. However, have found 1 year on the alleged non-stick coating on the removeable cooking plate has worn to the point of rusting. Most likely was just a coating of matt black paint! So now need to wrap the plate in aluminium foil for a rust-free experience and punch a couple of drainage holes. Aggressive wear most likely due to heavy cleaning. Just saying.
  5. Agree, can work out more cost effective then renting, plus as said above no reclaiming deposits back hassle. Had a 3 month contract in Malaysia couple of years ago, and got an AirBnB for the duration. Got supper discount, Elec/Water/WiFi all included, plus gym and swimming pools and panoramic views of Singapore. Paid 1 month at time of booking, them monthly in advanced, as per AirBnB regs. Showed rental contract to Immigration at Airport, and stamped in for 3 months no probs. However, with Thailands Immigration and the fact they want to know where your staying, then might be an issue if questioned, especially if staying beyond 90 day (assumes you're not border hopping). Did look at 3 month stay in the past, as great long stay discounts, but once I questioned the potential Landlord on TM30 they all stopped communicating!
  6. Would have been informative if the Jurno said when and where this event took place. Another piece of reactionary nonsense.
  7. I just completed this quiz. My Score 70/100 My Time 182 seconds
  8. Really sad day for the Thai people who voted for Pita and the MFP. With recent International press stories of Thailand interesting the Tabloid press, this will be picked by the Broadsheets and the Financial press, so funding canal initiatives will take a Western downturn. With Srettha's fate to be announced within the next 3 weeks, Thailand's International political stability will take a further nosedive.
  9. It's the Grebulons out on the 10th planet, Persephone, AKA Rupert (named after the pet parrot of the Astrologer who found it) that we should be worried about. Their Death Beam could wipe out all instances of Earth across all Dimensions.
  10. Surely any well respected and managed business would have Business Interuption Insurance. Ah, forgot. Insurance in Thailand is seen as gambling, which is of course; illegal.
  11. If the dolphins suddenly disappear, then "Panic".
  12. Agree Thai Airways could have handled the Customer Experience better. But what gets me, LHR is allegedly an International Airport, so surely there should be some maintenance staff as well as all the other services working round the clock, Check-In staff, Air Traffic Control, Baggage Handlers, Catering, Fire and other Emergency Services etc to support the after 21:00 flights, or what ever time they clock off. What would happen if the AirCon failed whilst Taxiing, close the airport! Typical Woke / Broke UK.
  13. I just completed this quiz. My Score 100/100 My Time 36 seconds
  14. Traditional 'Snail Mail' takes 7+ weeks to arrive from UK. You've got a few weeks to go yet.
  15. A kind and steady heart can make a grey sky blue...
  16. REM, Everybody Hurts.
  17. Simple Minds, Belfast Child. In fact this is Simple Minds only true No. 1 hit in the UK. The more popular "Don't you forget about me", used in John Hughes's 1985 "Breakfast Club" movie, was actually written for the movie by Steve Forsey and Steve Schiff (ex Nina Hagen Band) and originally proposed to Brian Ferry, who turned it down.
  18. Are you thinking Oasis, She's Electric. If so, She's got one in the oven But it's nothing to do with me...
  19. Big fan, ever since Croydon Fairfield Halls in September 1973. As a spotty teenage I was hooked as soon as Stacia came on stage! Met Nik Turner at Glastonbury 1979, great stage costumes, playing under Nik Turner's Sphynx, they were all dressed as mummy's. Did limit stage movement though. Met Lemmy a few times, absolute diamond geezer.
  20. Not trying to be pedantic, but correct spelling of the Hawkwind track is without the umlaut, so just Motorhead. Track was originally recorded in early 1975 before Lemmy was sacked from Hawkwind due to a drug bust in Canada in May, and became the name of his new band, with the umlaut that started gigging in July that year. Was originally released as a B-side to Hawkwind's Kings of Speed in March 1975. With the success of Motörhead (the band), Dave Brock of Hawkind re-mixed it and recorded a new vocal, releasing the single Motorhead in 1981 to take advantage of their ex Bass Player's success. Motörhead re-recorded it in 1977 for their debut album and released it as a single. Which failed to chart. However, the live version they released in 1981 to counter Dave Brock's Hawkwind version got to No. 6 in the charts.
  21. ...Far away from the city. Peter Frampton, Baby I love your way.
  22. Dr. Chapman will see you now.
  23. We need a Montgomery Brewster to run, I'll happily vote for "None of the Above".
