  1. Yes 100% the guy is a criminal living off the proceeds of crime and all they have to do is present the case in front of the same judge who found him guilty in his absence and the order is set. They have probably already done it when they put out an all points for his arrest.
  2. Yes but he is not 50 years old so he cannot retire here, he could get a elite visa but that will not give him carte blanche to stay here, so at some time he will have to leave the country or overstay, but two things will most definitely get him one is the UK police will deny him access to any bank account he holds, and also at some time his UK passport will run out and he will not get another one. So his time is limited where ever he is residing
  3. Start slowly with a 5.5mm concrete drill bit just enough to put a marker point in the tile then use a tile cutter hole saw 22mm when you are through the tile start again in the centre with a 10mm drill bit go through the wall then use 15mm and do the same, the raise that to 22mm and your pipe will fit but before you go all the way through with 15 and 22mm bits go to the outside and enlarge the the hole by about 25 mm depth this will then reduce the damage to the outside wall. you will not need more than 400mm total length. As has already been said when cutting the tile do not use a hammer drill setting. Good luck
  4. You are correct but the point is most telephones are stolen when the owner is using it so it is already open and a relatively easy thing to change the amount of time the phone remains open giving the thief more than enough time to put software on the phone that will open every app installed on it including banking. Itunes will give the owner any protection because the phone is already open. The thing to do is set the time the phone will automatically shut down when you stop using it to the bear minimum, we are talking as few seconds as possible Do not use it openly in a public area, but if you have to make sure it cannot be snatched from your hand. Be very aware of your surroundings at all times Do not place it on a table or other surface and remove your hand from contact with it. crooks are very clever so give yourself at least half a chance to protect what is important to you
  5. Well the truck could have been by the beach and the jet ski fell on him and pushed him into the water??? But let’s stop this tomfoolery the guy is dead after all, suffice it to say he succumbed to his injuries. Condolences to his family RIP
  6. Thanks for the clarification. From the writing the impression is that he was lying on the beach soaking up the sun and someone planted a jet ski on him. RIP
  7. And you have written 3 posts denigrating me, one of which got someone laughing at your comments, one got you nothing and the last one got you bewilderment, ARE ‘nt doing well You should read your stupid comments again and learn.
  8. What a load of bunkum! Put all your financial information on your telephone so that the next crim who steals it will in double quick time have full on access to one’s money. Every criminal knows that the majority of people have weak passwords on their telephones and getting into them is the easiest thing in the world to do. They also know that by simply placing a password generator that can run a billion combination in an hour on the phone will give access to any who think about and use a stronger PW Yes you can shut down your banking app but in the time it takes to find someone with a phone who will let you call your bank in another country and wade through the incessant press this button and that button number the crims have emptied your account and are long gone, and for good measure have sold your phone to the local telephone shop for spares. The OP has yet again come up with another trap for the uninitiated and should really be ashamed of himself for not only doing so but also for publishing it here. Perhaps have published it he should now read the comments of most who disagree vehemently with him. Cash is very much king
  9. At what point did I say that GoFundme had ANYTHING to do with the British tax payer other than asking WHY some should think the taxpayer should pay for repatriation? If you had learned to read properly and indeed understand what you are reading before making your ignorant and insulting remark you would have known this. Sadly the intelligence of some such as you is so low that you really should take up full time residence in a dumpster along with the rest of the rubbish of society.
  10. WHY should the British tax payer be expected to front up for people who persistently travel without the necessary insurance to cover any and all situations that may affect them ? it is not rocket science to adopt a responsible attitude to any possible future developments, I fail to understand how people can pay out large amounts of money for flight tickets, bar girls, and even a beer yet will not pay a couple of hundred pounds or whatever currency you use to get an insurance policy that will remove the strain on themselves and their loved ones when something goes wrong.
  11. I get the same at 77, if one keeps a healthy interest rising to the occasion is never a problem. Why do you think he should have a problem just because the recipient is 20 yo? First of all with a 44 year age difference does he really want an airy fairy youngster with absolutely no idea of what it’s all about and has never heard of muscle control, I mean come on surely quality with an older one has got to be better than quantity. Furthermore remember that as one ages controlled final delivery becomes longer lasting and far easier to accomplish so a 20 yo should he wish to go there will definitely get far more than she bargained for.
  12. Simon, PM me
  13. I am 77 now and I pay an age extension on annual health travel which was £165 in total for £10,000,000 cover for last year and allows me 90 days per trip which is fine for me as I have to come back to the UK regularly and never stay longer than 60 days anyway. It may well be more this year as all insurance has rocketed in the UK now so just waiting to see what it will be on renewal but I do not expect more than £200 and well worth it for the peace of mind.
  14. How do you work that out? It strikes me that aunty Tim is the innocent person in this, if she had no action in the death of her employer and there is no evidence of any then she is guilty of only one thing, being the innocent recipient of a legally drawn up will in her favour by her doting employer one in which she may have known nothing about. As for the speculation about illegal activities regarding proxy investors it could be that aunty Tim is the proxy assuming she is Thai and therefore everything is legal, so perhaps it is time to stop the speculation and sour remarks against her until at least if you are really interested in the outcome we know more about the truth of it. One thing we can all be assured of, if you work hard all your life and come to Thailand to buy property that you will never own but put in all the money for it, one firmly places oneself in the realm of the buffalo, especially when they ( the Thais ) can go to your country and 100% own any property and land they buy.
  15. It’s all a bit like I Os. Personal interpretation and not actual interpretation of job description and rules is the order of the day. TIT
  16. Ok well you reckon you know better that anybody so suffice it to say that I personally spoke at great length with my insurers and got a letter from them confirming all risks at 100% I also extended my travel period, so I currently have an annual policy with a 90 day cover for ANY trip I make in the year, so I can go out for 90 days come back for one day and go straight back out again with the same cover and all I do is tell them. I have not said that it was easy to do BUT if you know what you are talking about and want they the insurers have a clear idea of what is being requested of them and can say yes or no,and in my case it was a signed and confirmed yes.
  17. So the poster should be more than 100%honest with the insurance company and talk to a manager to negotiate a favourable outcome. There are many companies and agents on the British market who are happy to cover pre-existing so if he is in the UK he should talk with them about annual cover with £10,000,000 being a minimum. If it costs £300 to £500 per annum it is still very good and cheap for £10,000,000, personally I would be happy to pay £1,000 for that level of cover, but then that’s just me. Now it’s time for the cheap Charlie idiots to put the befuddled emoticon on here.
  18. Every time I arrive in Thailand and indeed any country I do so with a folder full of details regarding my travel insurance and a letter from my insurance company confirming that I have £10,000,000 of full cover, I have never yet been asked for it but it is available for any official to peruse, so the matter is easily checked.
  19. Obviously you think 7 baht is to little and not worth your time To go and pay it, well the good news (not ) is in double QuickTime they will discover just how lucrative VAT is and treble it, currently 30million parcels at 7 baht = 210 million baht for free so imagine when the greedy side kicks in AGAIN.
  20. Please just remember that where ever you get your taxi there will be a 99% chance that the driver will be tired before he starts and will head for the nearest 7/11 to get several bolt upright kick up the a- - bottles of caffeine so that he can drive with his eyes firmly fastened to his chin rather than do it in stages and frequently rest up, so be sensible and don’t put yourself and your family into an extremely dangerous position, the driver will not tell you he is tired but he is guaranteed to fall asleep at sometime during the 15 hour journey usually on a bend in the road that they really do not have the experience to negotiate correctly even when they are fresh. we have all seen Thai drivers hurtle into a bend and hit the brakes last second because they do not know how to drive properly and use the road. Having had one experience of one of these fabled clowns on a trip from Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya where I had to slap his head to wake him up I would never ever consider a journey such as yours in a taxi or mini bus. so be sensible and good luck and before the idiot brigade in here who consummately pooh pooh suggestions of common sense, I have experienced these idiot drivers.
  21. I wrote about exactly what I do every time I come to Thailand and I have never had a problem, I simply tell the io where I am staying and they stamp my PP for an additional 30 days and give me a receipt for 1900baht clipped into my PP. I never use the full 30 days leaving after 45 to 50 well within the 60 day period and airport io’s always smile and are very friendly. As for a TM30 I have never been asked for one but I did once ask the hotel for a letter confirming my residence however the io did not even look at it so I have not bothered since, I just carry a hotel card should anything arise.
  22. Ask her to put it in writing and then post it here so we know it is not bs
  23. Quick update you can go to any io in Thailand but you must check in to a hotel in the city you are in and take a hotel card with you so they will know where you are staying and can check if they want to. I have gone to an io within an hour of checking in and had no problem getting the extension
  24. If you know you are going to stay 40 or 45 days why not simply buy your expected departure date flight and a few days after you arrive go to an io anywhere in Thailand and buy a 30day extension it is easy and should take no more than 1 hour, just go in and ask for an extension, they are fully prepared for it and know what to do, I do this every time paying an agent for something as simple as that is a complete waste of money as is paying a fee to change your flight. One word of caution, tea money is still very much a thing with io’s so hand over 2,000baht and do not expect or ask for any change, if the io offers change (unlikely) don’t accept it just quietly tip it back over the counter they will remember you next time just go for it you will be surprised at how easy it is.
