Misstating Condo Sale Price
NoDisplayName replied to Fortunateson's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
Do it! .....and demand a 35% reduction on the sales price, since that's the amount they're putting on the official government documentation. -
Chinese tourists are returning - but not to Thailand
NoDisplayName replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Cool beans. The national unemployment rate is not 40%, it's about 5%. I'll go on the assumption that anonymous guy who registered for an account and whom's first --- and only --- post is felon gang propaganda is, you know, the thing. Thanks! -
Chinese tourists are returning - but not to Thailand
NoDisplayName replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What CIA.gov propaganda site did you get that number from? 40% unemployment? Try 5%....... https://tradingeconomics.com/china/unemployment-rate https://www.statista.com/statistics/1109881/surveyed-monthly-unemployment-rate-in-china/ -
Aha! When you log into gmail, you're also logging into your youtube account. Then you get the blocking unless you pay for premium or accept ads. I logged out of youtube, and Shazam!, no more blocked videos, and no ads using adblocker with no issues.

This isn't about returning to the USA. He would be going back to Norway, famous for their generous welfare state benefits.

I'ma try this. Delete AseanNow from my bookmarks. I don't need this <deleted>.

In that case, Shirley, the OP, would have mentioned that very important fact.

Thailand To Hold Talks with China on Submarine to Frigate Swap
NoDisplayName replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Why does the submarine need an engine? Couldn't they just tie it up next to the aircraft carrier with no aircraft that goes nowhere, or warehouse it along with the blimps that don't hold their helium. Why not exchange the sub for a fleet of chinese weather baroooms able to circumnavigate the globe carrying a ton of erectlonics, and base 'em on the as yet unused flattop? Win-win-win!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
And now for the rest of the story........ But, Shirley, he didn't really do that, did he? Well, in that case, we can rewrite the headline.

Lack of money? Bus to southern border. Visa waiver into Malaysia. Mama noodles for dinner. Bench at bus station. Mama noodles for brekkie. Visa waiver into Thailand Bus to Bangkok. At most a couple thousand baht. Or.........take the overstay, get buddy to fork over 20k for the fine and another 30k for flight home. That frees up 50k for hookers and blow.
-
Hopefully someone will correct me if this is wrong, but..... If he can get to the airport undetected, he'll pay a fine, get banned, and then board his plane. If he goes to immigration, or gets stopped by the police, he'll be fined and held at IDC until he goes to court, and then he'll be deported. From what I've read the wait at IDC can be weeks, and isn't at all comfortable. And I believe the ban if caught is much longer as well.

Going to Cambodia , Lights problem
NoDisplayName replied to liddelljohn's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
In that case, just buy yourself a meter of stretchy lycra and make a form-fitting cover for the front. Not sure of the exact dimensions of your bike's front end, but you might get a swim suit top or "density-challenged" lady bra to strap over the mirrors. -

Wire in a cutoff switch for the headlight. See youtube for how-to videos. -
High electric bill
NoDisplayName replied to DonniePeverley's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
That's gotta be wrong. We run our entire house averaging 2500 baht during summer, 1500 in not summer. Similar to banana's consumption, but with a load of washing daily, electric cooker, a dozen perimeter lights at night. -
They call Generation Z lazy ??

Local trains w/ bicycle - how to get timetable, ticket etc.
NoDisplayName replied to henrik2000's topic in Central Thailand
Website for Thailand Rail. Scroll to the bottom for links to each of the rail lines. Stations in Thai and English. https://www.railway.co.th/Home/Index Long-distance trains "should" have baggage cars, local trains probably not. You'll need a cargo ticket for your bike if stowing in the baggage car. Get that at the ticket office when you purchase your ticket, show it to the baggage car clerk in the car as you hand him your bike. For local trains, you should not need to pay extra for the bike. (That may have changed recently, if so I'm not aware.) Just get to the platform before the train arrives, ready to board. Some of the trains only stop for a minute or two. Have a hex key ready to turn the handlebars. If the car you've selected only has end doors, it's a tight squeeze. The assistants (if there are any) may try to force your bike through the doors, even though the handlebars won't fit. There should be a small luggage bay large enough to stow your bike just after the latrines by the doors. If the car has side doors to the platform, no problem. Just carry your bike on and bungee to a seat handle or center pole. Try to avoid commuter times when the cars are full of workers/students. I took a bike on the BKK (Huamak Station) - Aranyaprathet run with no difficulties. Expect the train to be late, and slow. Used Green Bus in the north. You can also take your bike on the bus. The large VIP coaches carry 33 passengers, and have plenty of storage space under the cabins. A full size bike will fit underneath without disassembly. -
That's not the answer to the question. How often is that done, and are any posters here talking about lipid panels and HDL/LDL actually referring to thumbprick testing? I would guess, although I'm not an authority, that nobody here is talking about those little home DIY test kits or the county fair community health booth screens. But I'll grant you that. Fasting not necessary for the common thumbprick total cholesterol only test, but fasting recommended for a lipid panel cholesterol test.
-
What's yer point? S'far as I can tell, every post in this thread is referencing a lipid panel ("cholesterol test") measuring total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, and possibly also VLDL. How often is a simple total cholesterol test given? I dunno, but probably not very often, if the evil and corrupt medical profession is out to scam patients with unnecessary tests.
-
So you're sayin' I don't need to fast for a cholesterol test unless I'm takin' a complete cholesterol test that includes testing cholesterol? Gee, thanks doc! Glad to see your 12 years of medical school done payed off. Oh, by the way, it hurts when I do this......
