It's better than that - 12 months! "Georgian visa for Thai citizens. A visa is NOT required for Thai passport holders visiting Georgia for a short-term stay: 1 year." Before Russkye refuges invaded the place I had a business idea: Buy a hotel for love sick farangs to meet Thais there! It would have been full 24/7 360days a year. The place on the beach was perfect - Batumi. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=batumi+georgia Funny "NO SEX" sign; https://eurasianet.org/thai-massage-parlors-mushroom-in-georgias-tourist-meccas PS. When I saw opening head line "Albania wants you...." I didn't know how good Albania actually is. It can be a new Croatia! I though I know EU 😞 The location with 4-5h ship trip to/from Italy is great too.

Yes - that's the key. If you keep for a long time no big increases. At the beginning they were non. But if you make major improvements, like I did, taxes will go up 30-60%. It still paid off because I got re-zoning for 4 houses on my twin lot. Zoning changes are quite easy to do and can bring a huge return. Good for you! As long as sun is up CA will do well as investment but I'd not want to live there.

You are absolutely right! When I tell in many countries "I left CA" they can't believe it... It still is THE place for 90% of young people in most places. And 90% of Asians love it, specially Chinese, no matter what. They keep coming. PS. I liked the fact it WAS NOT infested by narrow minded republicans...

Zero need or not, it's a law! Otherwise I agree with you. Is this in effect; https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/1941048/tm30-reporting-rule-on-foreigners-eased I haven't seen any talk about it.

Many of my Pinoy friends have gone back to PI. They were not poor, they had good businesses, houses and fancy cars. And plenty of cash. That's telling the CA story - if PI is better than SoCal game's over...

Avoid Being the Stereotypical American When Travelling Abroad
GypsyT replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Ah, they are entertaining to see. Not annoying at all. They are big children who think they know and own everything, specially if they are from Texas... They call you "Sir" which mean nothing. They ask "How are you?" which means nothing. But they spend more they can afford, as long as CCs are working, so they're great visitors. CASH? One wrinkled $ 20 bill... -
Stay in hotel/condo, what with TM30?
GypsyT replied to Confuscious's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That'll work for "2 week millionaires" but not for me. I stay 3-5 months... Also, are you sure they don't control if you have done required report "within 24h of arrival" rule? I don't risk being stopped at next arrival. Reporting is easy; just 2-3h of torture at Jomtien. -
European Visa for Thai GF
GypsyT replied to Asmoseus_uk's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
Those are the rules but in real life The First country where you land and get processed is the most critical. They put zero value where you spend time. If they smell rat you don't get in. It's that simple. They are responsible for you. -
I know nothing this but I'm getting to know a Pinay in Canada who wants out. Things are not working for her there. She told me "My Canadian boy friend had to employ her as his maid in order to get her in to Canada". So she is officially working for him. You may have to do same? I hope you find easier solution. I don't understand why it's so difficult for Asians to visit US and Canada! During Trump & Covid time it was openly racist thing.

Palm trees should on SANDY beach section. People need shade there, not over walk way. Now walking is very hard, no room to pass fat ones... All those planted on walk way give zero shade to anyone except squirrels and tree top rats. Branches are only at the top on those trees. See here how it looks like, starting at 55sec; https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=jomtien+beach+road+palm+trees#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:28b72ff8,vid:wUx4DdIg1JY,st:0

Stay in hotel/condo, what with TM30?
GypsyT replied to Confuscious's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
How do you avoid dealings as tourist? 🙂 -
I see palm trees on the truck. Hopefully it means they rip out ALL which we were planted on pedestrian walk way. It was idiotic idea, not enough room to walk and walk way is always uneven thanks to roots. Trees should all be on the sandy section. Many are but not all the way to end of beach. They should go to see, learn and copy Nha Trang nice and smart 9km beach!

Don't ever believe they do! I always ask paper copy of the report and take it to the Immi. No problems. -

Thailand’s Premier Eyes Pattaya for Upcoming Formula One Race
GypsyT replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Monaco is the most boring race with zero passing. Only thing they pass is air... Never will a new track with same design get permission. Rightfully so. It stupid to call it "Crown Jewel of F1". Same with Long Beach Indy GP, totally boring follow-the-leader crash fest junk. They started F1 races in mid '70s. I was there from '79 to '83. Racing was very good, even great, thanks to nimble, light and powerful cars. Today's cars are fat pigs... too wide, too heavy, too depended of aero effects. They also don't sound good, like old na V8s, V10s, V12, flat 12s. When Ferrari is testing near factory workers don't know if it a F1 car or UPS truck making deliveries... they both sound same. Sound is important! There are good street races, like in Australia. Canada F1 GP is also mostly on public streets and racing is good. Thanks to French heritage they also have the best track food! I was there once. Now TV is best and after checking Miami and Las Vegas ticket prices - north of $ 500/3 day basic entry - I don't see ever going. Well, if Thailand or Vietnam happens, I'll go. Thailand's problem is mostly political. Nobody seems to be in charge in anything. -
1 Euro/Dollar houses in Sicily, Italy
GypsyT replied to GypsyT's topic in US & Canada Topics and Events
It takes "Oklahoma spirit" to make a move. "When the signal for the process of land registration was raised, thousands of people rushed across the border as the Oklahoma land rush began. Approximately fifty thousand people; young and old, men and women rushed to try their luck in acquiring the 12,000 land tracts that were available." Would I go to Italy and Sicily? No. But Spain is doable. One reason is this; https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/ended-er-during-vacation-spain-031602945.html -

Statistics in EU show when Thai lady gets divorced she NEVER re-marry an other farang...... But she is happy to stay there - alone 🙂 So, in a way you are correct! -
I didn't give up. After 120 days waiting time, as asked to do, I went to claim my reward. What popped up was; "Award not collected" and "Case closed".... 100% pure criminal activity. But I'm ahead a few hundred, or thousands, bucks: I get one or two nights for a great Agoda, Booking etc "come-on" price and then make a deal with hotel manager/owner for longer stay for the same low price. Sometimes the whole month. Those companies also have reserved a block of room per months. A week before the end they sell for what ever they get. Prices are good. They have to pay regardless they sell or not. As noted by somebody they also keep IP addresses. VPN is great tool to fool them. Same effect with using hotel's desk & laptops -:) To me this is great brain exercise and alzheimer slow down tactics.
