    It may not be essential but it is a courtesy which is appreciated by the Thai people and cannot see any reason why you wouldn't want to speak passable Thai if you live in the country. For a tourist not the same.

    I use the app as well and it comes up as you say one after the other. Probable because the screen is small so the app adjusts for the best presentation.

    Welcome to Chinese rule. Funny how the Thai people originally came from South West China. They obviously didnt like it then but seem to like the same thing now.

    Moving away from cash is the best present the hackers could get. Thailand security is not bad but certainly not good enough to move from cash. Come to think of it I cant think of a country who can protect their system adequately.

    Doesn't bother me. People can think and buy what they want. It is when they start complaining later when things go wrong that I find irritating.

    Providing it is all legit there should be no problem but if you look at Phuket in the news there are many companies which are essentially fakes buying things. If the company is legit with all the proper paperwork then fine.

    No they wont as the adverts will push how wonderful they are and convince people they are getting a bargain. It is call advertising.

    It has been over US$80 for a while it isnt way up but it is up.

    Probably because the price of crude has gone down. This price would have been agreed in the beginning of January. The Oil & Gas industry works on the pricing of a 3 month advance period.

    I always haggle over the price unless it is in one of the major shopping malls.

    If that is the case then they are expecting the price of crude to increase within 3 months because that is how crude is sold i.e. on a 3 month forward look.
