  1. Who's the insecure one again? I mean if you don't care and don't need approval, why bother telling us you don't care and don't need approval?
  2. Yup, me too. Anything I can't fit in my pockets when I go out stays there.
  3. Let's see now, phone (left front pocket), wallet (right front pocket), glasses (on my nose), pack of wet wipes (?), face mask (??), flick knife (!!!), bluetooth earphones (in my ears). Still got 4 other pockets available for the likes of car keys, a wee notebook with a stubby pen and some lint.
  4. I'll strive to be less inflammatory this time. Since it was Tory infighting that forced the Brexit vote upon the nation, this is simply more of the same where an outwardly popular Prime Minister can't get his own house in order so chooses the nuclear option. ...then he resigns.
  5. Does it matter? I bet the OP's short-term memory is shot to buggery (like mine).
  6. In common parlance, that's called "Kicking the can down the road". 'twas ever thus.
  7. All well and good but based on personal experience, before embracing the moral high-ground or insisting on having the last word, one really needs to ensure that she doesn't have a gun.
  8. Imagine this though, it wasn't so it isn't. Hope this helps.
  9. wither? ahe? stabed? This is what happens when you're in a hurry to post nonsensical supposition [insert roll-eyes emoji here]
  10. If that's true and they didn't have a new location ready to go before closing Beach Road... someone needs firing. We've already covered that, no? The hole-in-the-wall formerly known as Warehouse on Buakhao.
  11. Maybe you're not into money laundering.
  12. Nearly?
  13. I followed one of these out of Landmark parking earlier today in Udon. Lao plates, looks nice. Since they're not available locally, maybe there are issues with registering non-Chinese EV's here?
  14. As I said, I tend to not overthink these things.
  15. Well, duhhh.
  16. Think of it like selling your old car. The first item should be the age. I think this mobo first came on the market late 2019. The mobo itself varies from 3000 baht (used) to 4000 baht (new) in the US. if the OP can post a picture of the case, it could garner more interest.
  17. Odds are 7/5 for Thursday 13th July. I think that's when the 60-day, post-election game of musical chairs (is supposed to) ends.
  18. The front of The Warehouse was being knocked down today. Yes, I heard that Hooter's have leased it for their smaller, open-air venue.
  19. Did you realize the potential risks involved with partying when you were 18? I did and a hangover from five too many large bottles of Newcastle Brown was considered well worth it. A few of the older ones were into cannabis but that was back in those heady days when most people didn't need harsher chemicals for a release.
  20. Or dig around for some of the older shows, the ones from 15, 20 or more years ago. There are many gems that were missed at the time.
  21. I used to go to Hooters maybe about once a month with my buddies while in the US. I didn't overthink the experience. I've been to Hooters in Singapore maybe three or four times over the years. I didn't overthink the experience. I used to go to Hooters in either Bangkok or Pattaya with my buddies every two months or so. I didn't overthink the experience.
  22. Totally agree, but it's getting on for three months since the last report. Since one of the current threads on the Savannakhet MENO has already been closed, I thought it's worth keeping tabs and keep this thread 'fresh', just in case.
  23. A mutual acquaintance, admittedly not the sharpest tool in the box, claims he was denied a MENO (Thai spouse) at Savannakhet on 22 May. He was given all the relevant advice and the list of required documents but went off half-cock or, as he admits, didn't pay attention and traveled on a Monday without certain documents including the Marriage Certificate. However, he was making much of being unable to open a Thai account and furnish proof of funds. Now, we ALL know that for as long as we can remember and as recently as March, proof of finances have never been required at Savannakhet. The visa information on their website, updated on 22 April 2023, still doesn't include proof of financials but does say "Consular officers reserve the rights to request additional documents as deemed necessary.they may ask for other documents as they see fit." I would like to think that my nice but dim acquaintance has it totally wrong and he was turned away on the Consulate's busiest day ONLY because he didn't have the correct documents and they still don't need proof any financial information. Looking forward to an updated report to confirm that this is still the case as we live in interesting times.

    an awful day

I can't believe you felt the urge to Google fact-check that. And then got it so terribly, terribly wrong. Fact is that Asian water buffalo weigh from 700 to 1,200 kg. https://www.altinawildlife.com/asian-water-buffalo-2/
  25. How 'ancient' precisely? I'm 66 and consider that to be ancient.
