Friendships don't matter? Social skills underrated? Fun in a classroom bad? Eating lunch with friends? Playing games? Meeting a boy or girl...... Online learning as a supplement, maybe. I'm not sold on this concept, yet. No friends might spell childhood trauma, and that doesn't go away in a lifetime. Never met a good falang teacher in Thailand. 99% sure now I never will, since I'm not "teaching" anymore. I've seen the friendships, and remember my childhood. Priceless.

Opportunity. Money buys opportunity. The ability to leave, be free, adapt, travel, withstand..... A few hundred baht a day is a prison, no adaptation available, casket, suffocating, famine. Imagine being over 50 and having to think about if you should buy a 35,000 phone or a 5,000 phone that "sort of" does the same thing? Opportunity allows you to enjoy nice things. Great pizza for 1000 baht in falang land or 20 baht noodle soup. Up to you, I guess, but a 10-year old kid will always choose what's clearly better. True. Can get 30 mbs at times. Is it good? It's acceptable, since sometimes the speeds are erratic. I haven't got upset enough to switch back to AIS. I don't remember why I left AIS, but I guess it was even worse. Part seems to be luck, phone, location, whatever.... I do seem to always get 4g. so there's that. Maybe tonight I'll check with AIS and see what promotions they have. I'm definitely not a supporter of either one, open to switch.
