The number of weed shops in Pattaya has reached absurd levels!

You mean balls massage? ???? Yes, yes, great idea. -
Are you happy about it now? Blowing a bunch of money at once, now you can’t afford the same standard. You’ll need to downgrade now to save what you spent.

There’s a huge one being built on the corner of 2nd rd & Thappraya now, weed town or something. It’s huge. Looks like a department store. I think some of the smaller stores are trying to find something that makes them different then other places to stay in business, like having the grower on site to talk to customers about growing techniques they use, stuff like that. -
Defamation laws apply in Thailand even if you can prove it’s true, so no answer.

I stopped doing reviews for anything a long time ago. I did not like the social manipulation involved, either positive or negative.
-
Yep. Even worse it was old school well known established places. They were jeopardizing their reputation doing it. They would be better off not doing a discount and saying nothing. I thought I was supposed to do the 5 star review then and there before I got the discount, and gave the discount back, then never mind, we give you anyway, lol. It could have been a miscommunication where they just ask for a review at the end, but it also felt like I owed them the review.

Thailand’s cannabis farmers anxious over new coalition’s U-turn
JimTripper replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I would bet many will go broke with weed . Too many shops opening up all over at once. Looks like everyone wants to get rich. Never ever works that way. What always happens is people get loans for new fancy shops or put all their money into grow operations and the rules and regulations suddenly change. They can’t recoup their investment and it goes bust. Sound familiar? But if you never try, you will never know if you were one of the wildly successful ones that got in early enough, and were wise enough to sell up in time. -

I think the high they get is a bit different with alcohol (will need to get back to you on that one ????????♂️). -
Some of the reviews are paid for. They give discounts in exchange for writing Google reviews. Like 10% off when you checkout if you write a review, although I have not seen it strictly enforced, just suggested after you get the discount and are happy about it.

The problem with weed in Thailand now is a lot of people are walking around stoned like it’s ok in regular life or natural. Not true, they are high. I recently dealt with a business to do business and they had been smoking. I could smell it there. That’s not cool as it impairs decision making. -

Return of Chinese Tourists to Thailand Has Pros, Cons
JimTripper replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I went to a buffet in China once. They were stacking their plates sky high with everything imaginable, more then they could eat. I think it was a status symbol to have heap high food stacked on the table. It let everyone know they had more sustenance and resources then their neighbor. They did not seem to eat or consume more, it was about hoarding it (could be why they were skinny and not overweight ????????♂️). Most of it got thrown out by buffet staff later on. It seemed like they went for the seafood especially (not sure why ????????♂️). The platters were empty almost immediately. People rushed in when the server came with a new platter and let the wild things have at it and not get in the way! -
I used to live in a place where there were so many mosquito's I kept a zap racket in each room. Before that, I carried the racket with me around the house when I went to the kitchen or bathroom.

When there are flocks around the building killing them off does not work (there’s always more). They land, hang out, then die later on somewhere. What I need is a repellant so they don’t land or come around in the first place.
-
Do they have that for pigeons?
-
I thought it looked like it died before it was ever finished. The rooms now are empty. It looks like it was never furnished and just left before it was completed. I guess that could be from people taking whatever is not nailed down, or perhaps everything possible got sold off when money problems started. It looks like a concentration camp now, just a skeleton of concrete structure.
-
I guess there would be no “liability issue” as we are in Thailand, or staff not wanting you to use it if you looked obviously disabled. Not sure on that one.
