  1. I rented a place for a month and the landlord said he did not need to do it unless I was extending while staying there. is that correct, or does it need to be done within 24 hrs anytime I move into a new unit? (i.e. do they want to know everywhere I stayed during the 90 days, or is it good enough for just one place to file closest to the 90 mark).
  2. I think being overweight makes you much hotter, or at least any exertion makes you tire out, sweat and overheat. I follow a blog about an expat in Bangkok and the guy is very overweight. He walks around and is sweating all over and you can hear him struggling in the heat. It’s because he is overweight. It’s funny in a mean way, but also concerning.
  3. The Thais already have this covered don’t they?? Don’t younger family usually move back near the parents home and care for elderly there?
  4. I thought he passed in Thailand??
  5. Don’t risk it. Water delivery is cheap here. Try sprinkles water delivery.
  6. Really, I thought Thailand had some of the best facilities in the area??
  7. Use deodorant after every shower. If you don’t shower every day, use it anyway. Also, shave under your arms, you stink. Ideally, shave your whole body under your eyebrows. Take care of yourself. You will feel younger, cleaner and more put together. People don’t like being around other people who stink. Get it taken care of.
  8. Plenty of water around. Walk out into the sea and stop complaining. Salt water is healthy.
  9. You forgot the part about not complaining and focusing on it.
  10. Hate to rattle my can, but I never use A/c, just fans. I do take showers maybe 3 or 4x a day. I guess everyone’s different but I don’t like or need a/c.
  11. Who is it, a neighbor or some one you know? How did he reach out for help? I’m hearing more stories about old sick people near Pattaya that don’t have anyone to help them out.
  12. have you read my book on “picking up women in bars & clubs”. If not please order now to be “wildly successful picking up women anywhere at the best bars& clubs” or your money back. Order now and get a free gift my book “boys & sex” has been the standard now for over 50 years. Explains everything including chapters on spanking the monkey, dealing with rejection, and a new forward for fathers who need to talk with their sons, but are afraid to, about this important subject.

  14. Pickup service is there way at the bottom. It looks half hearted though and not a real stand out special vehicle, just a suv or sedan or whatever you pick. It does not look oriented to “doing anything in the vehicle on the way from the airport ????????‍♂️” the way devils den is. https://www.penthousehotel.com/taxi_and_limousine_to_pattaya_and_bangkok.html
  15. I abided at Nirun for a time. It was really cheap (pun intended) ????????‍♂️.
  16. It was devils den, but maybe others too. https://devilsdenthailand.com/airport-full-service-vip-pic-up/ Has anyone taken this from the airport?
  17. That’s what happens when you get older. Places you once enjoyed start to suck.
  18. Another problem with Facebook is it seems just anyone is renting rooms like they are an agent. I don’t think most of them are agents, it’s just anybody. So how do you track them down if you pay a deposit and they just disappear and how do I know who the owner is? The listings on realtor websites are self listed, but I assume part of the realtors job is to check if it’s the real owner or not?
  19. I told you grass can cause paranoia. It does not always mellow you out.
  20. It is if you need to save every baht you can.
  21. To start your own family.
  22. Why is alcohol banned on certain holidays? Is it because people may act stupid while drunk?
  23. Did you become your father?
  24. It was actually just a family visit, a couple weeks, not moving in! I was in my early 40’s I think at the time, a lifetime ago. I can’t see a foreigner fitting in there. It was just too different. Maybe in a bigger city nearby like Khon Kaen, where you live with your partner and she is able to travel in easily to see family, but not in the rural areas where your the only foreigner around.
  25. I had a similar experience. To add to it, I note that the environment and weather had nothing to do with it as I had lived in that situation before in other countries. The difference is the people, not the “location”. Or in my case the inability to get away from the family and people, having to interact with people who don’t fully understand you, etc. Very draining to say the least. Could not wait to get out of there after a few days. It seemed to sap my energy and I was very tired. I kept going on long walks alone, coming back to find the neighbors, uncles there waiting. They never seemed to “go away” into their homes, like they needed to be around you the entire time. Sorry if this sounds negative on Thai people. Just my experience.
