  1. I'm in Bangkok, probably not around where you are located, but I have noticed that people are distinctly not as happy as I remember 5 years ago. The friendliness has become rare. I noticed it in Pattaya as well, but i thought that was a Pattaya thing. I'm going to test Chiang Mai next. I have had some strange negative interactions with street vendors in Bangkok that have never happened before. I could not even get one to accept a sale with money in hand. I think there is something going on with the economy that are making people not happy. That carries over into all interactions, not just money matters.
  2. Not really, I started drinking milk. It's the same price as a beer.
  3. Nobody stays hard or on top forever 🤣
  4. It's a lot more possible in your home country with someone who speaks the same language and has similar interests. There needs to be something else there besides looks.
  5. Some guys like ladyboys or guys because at least one party has an erection for penetration. If it's just a flacid guy and a woman neither can penetrate. Some take it a step further and watch while a female partner is penetrated. The flacid guy "lives" the episode vicariously, often pleasuring himself, just like it was him with the female partner. The woman turns her attention to the flacid guy and uses the third party as a "tool" so to speak. The guy can wear a mask or costume that creates a curtain of privacy for the actors that are not physically penetrating or being penetrated by the partner they are interested in. Let me know if you need more clarification. He meant hydrochloric acid.
  6. This does not make sense to me unless the possessor is in possession of all the documents needed. It implies they are not really in possession of the residence, unless they are possessed (pun unintended).
  7. I was responding to another poster who wanted a reason why someone should not be fined. I gave a valid reason.
  8. If they are legally obligated to do it many people won't bother asking.
  9. That's easy. They could not get the documents needed from the landlord.
  10. Yeah, I think there is more to it then landlord laziness. If they always get the passport info and contracts just right, why not do a TM30 as well? I know a guesthouse owner who only does them when asked. I think it puts the landlord at risk of scrutiny when they are done. Like in the computer system they can check and see where they were missed in the past for other people and issue a back fine for each one. For a guesthouse owner that could be catastrophic. Anyhow, this guy is me·tic·u·lous and he does not want to do them unless asked.
  11. He should be getting it for free in that kind of shape. Not to mention the great apartment, lifestyle, exercise routine, etc. Unless of course, there's something else wrong with him. 🤣
  12. I lost most interest in sex around age 52 or so. The desire was still there, but the urge did not last like when I was younger. After a day or two the urge would drop off, in contrast to when I was younger where it would increase with time. This concerned the need for physical release as well, not just the mental desire aspect. I never bothered to do testesterone checkups or all that other stuff guys do. I just put it down to old age. That's what all these changes are basically imo, just aging. I can't fight it and don't really want to throw a bunch of money on treatments for problems that just get worse with time.
  13. Agreed. When I move around I invariably end up in substandard places (ironically, places that I'm happy to leave). That would be while paying for what I would consider a nice place for me on a long term lease. I need to pay more to get that same standard I want in a short term place. These vloggers who travel around saying how cheap accomodation is are staying in small substandard accomodations that they would never commit to for a year. If you do it on Abnb the places that are affordable to your budget won't have the necessities you are used to. I have stayed in many places where I need to by stuff like dishes, floor fans, etc that I am used to having. Then when I move I can't carry it all with me, so need to buy stuff again at the next place (or pay more for a nicer accomodation).
  14. I don't notice it much when living there a long time, except for the really bad days. It became a new normal. Same with Bangkok.
  15. Why bother posting when there is no consistency? It seems to be different for many people who go in for the same reason.
  16. People here are great at putting a positive spin on anything as they enjoy living in shoebox rooms, walking around in flip flops and drinking weak pisswater beer. Those who complain are marked as trolls.
  17. That's what exclusive resorts are all about. It keeps anything out that is not perfect or conductive to the experience. I think they have some in Phuket like that. They are usually gated and the people stay inside the boundry, so you would never come into contact anyway.
  18. Something similar happened to a friend of the family. A bookcase fell on her and she was trapped there for several days. Just by coincidence her son called and had someone visit the house when she did not answer. They found her there still under the bookcase. She survived but was never the same mentally due to the stress of the incident or dehydration.
  19. Plenty of month to month in Bangkok. Building will have a for rent sign hanging. Not the greatest neighborhoods. Working class Thai's don't often sign long term leases, it's pay every month. Not on the property listing websites, those seem to be mostly agents listing for commission. Stay in a guesthouse and look for the apartment buildings with Thai lettering on the outside. They are usually hidden behind nicer condo buildings (not on the main street).
  20. The questions is, what's your alternative? Having a house butt up is better then have a neighbor on the next wall over. Having a free frontal view is better then a neighbors window there in a condo. You're complaining about something with better and worse options. Ideally, you purchase land with a property on it in your name. That's a big negative I have with Thailand is that the land can't be owned. So, you have a "neighbor" with the land ownership and you need to get a good partner there. This is one of the reasons why I will only do a property purchase in my home country. It's only in my name and I choose my neighbors (or not).
