  1. I think water sales here are much bigger then beer and alcohol. Water must be where the big money is.
  2. I figured most guys work it out of their system or get tired of the lifestyle. The ones who are left seem to have some type of fetish or kink that goes above and beyond the sex aspect, or something weird going on emotionally. At least that's what I saw in the USA. Maybe it's different in Thailand or for you. I'm mid 50's and don't even really need to do it much anymore (the desire it not there). Paying some hag even makes me less inclined. Do you still have a strong sex drive at your age, or is there something else going on like role play, partner needs to fit a particular profile or appearance or things like that?
  3. Most guys want to pull themselves out of that lifestyle eventually, especially the Lincoln Tunnel stuff. It was much more dangerous, frought with risk, robbery & arrest. Also, much more adrenaline pumping. Not sure if it's still that way now. I used to live on the Upper West Side (W100's). That was in '94-'96 though, I left in '96. I first visited Thailand in '06. I was a little too young (25-ish) to "monger" but at that age where I was interested and looking at it.
  4. That, and also it seems like you always need more paperwork somehow. If you're dilligent things change and it's never sufficient. I have not found verbal promises to be especially binding here, but I depends on who you are dealing with I suppose.
  5. Agreeing to do it and actually doing it are very different things.
  6. I don't see it much now. There used to be many couples traveling together around the country on the train, etc. I could see it in how they interacted as well. The fondness does not seem to be there in the couples I see now.
  7. I would take the factory job if it was me, or be a poor rice farmer.
  8. Yes, and they chose poorly.
  9. I used to live right near there and I think I know where you are referring to. I stopped going in after the first few times because it felt weird. For example, no eye contact or just a strange vibe like they did not want to be there or serve me, or that I was not buying enough with just one beer, etc. Strangely, it somehow felt worse after they knew I was living nearby long term and walking by all the time. Like they expected me to come in more often or something. Chinese, etc are all about hotel rooms. You're not going to find them in small neighborhood bars much. They don't really help local businesses much, rather just tour companies and major chains that don't need the money.
  10. I can't see why they would be limited to prison. More like confined spaces where guys are living in close quarters with no females around. You may want to lay off the sleeping pills on the rig (or sleep with one eye open).
  11. What's that supposted to mean? Do you think I'm a nazi?
  12. You take your chances at the loo. Just pacing the aisles is another matter. I have been on long haul flights where people pace up and down the aisles continually, more then needed for circulation. Probably just out of boredom.
  13. Can you get them if already in Thailand or only from your home country?
  14. It could be an age gap issue. I'm mid 50's and dating women in the upper 20's to 30's. I may be picking up more on the immaturity as I get older that I did not notice when I was of a similar age. However, for similar people in the USA for example, they seem much more mature then Thai's of that age. There seems to be something about the Thai's that's immature or kind of "ditsy", for lack of a better term. I don't see it in "really old" people though. adjective: ditsy 1. INFORMAL silly or scatterbrained (typically used of a woman). "a ditzy blonde" Almost always on online dating apps. I'm mid 50's.
  15. So you speak Thai and it's all hunky dory? Conversations are normal and sophisticated? Or, are you still talking about childish stuff and experiencing immaturity?
  16. I'm looking for a smart worldly sophisticated woman like the kind James Bond meets. They could be of any nationality or color. I'm not finding that here. Can you see James Bond with these immature Thai ladies? Would never happen.
  17. I understand that. After years living here however, I'm increasingly finding the immaturity a turn off and an irritation. It seems like they can't be serious (without being mad or gloomy) for want of a better description. So it's either immature shallow stuff and 'stupid happy', or the other extreme of mad no talk, etc. The other thing I don't like that kind of goes along with the immaturity is the pinching and play slapping stuff. Can't stand that unless it's only once in awhile. I'm even seeking non-thai's more and more and only wanting to date foreigners because the maturity level is so much better.
  18. I'm meeting extremely immature women in Thailand when I date. Is that the culture? Some are fun to be around but I can't imagine introducing any to my family or doing something serious. Best I describe it is immaturity, giggling, kind of a shallowness of character or superficiality. Or, is it a language issue where nothing serious is discussed because the language is not there? Anyone else have this problem?
  19. There's some guy that does vlog shorts in Pattaya. He goes into a different bar each time and announces the bar name, says he is having a beer with the beer name and the price of the beer. That's it. He's a big loser and goes for the cheapest beer. I did not mention his channel out of respect for the other members here. There is another guy who goes into a different hotel each time, acts like he wants to rent a room. The room viewing is the vlog. He started filming backsides as the receptionist walks up the stairs. Somehow he is always in the rear in the stairs, never in front. He is careful to never have his reflection caught in the mirrors as he pans around the hotel or in the room. I think they make enough to buy a beer from each video they do.
  20. I made it out, bro. I'm no longer in Pattaya. 👏
  21. I had a McDonald's in Bangkok and it was USA quality. Fries were the same. Must have the supply chain and cooking methods down pat perfect, as one would expect. I was glad the Thai's could not screw with it with some weird sauce or error.
  22. I find the responses so far here disappointing. No compassion expressed for this guy so far at all. What's wrong with you people?
  23. This guy had some sort of mental breakup on the flight. Anyone know possible cause? I don't think it's alcohol.
