Thailand goes all in on The Homosexual Movement

I had a gay neighbor couple like that when I lived in the USA. They were awful. They kept coming onto my property. They had to walk around the block and come in from the front side and pulling up the plants along the fence on my side. I was a single guy at the time and I'm sure it had something to do with them being gay. It was because I was not real social with them so they did not want me there. Pulling up the plants symbolized that. My reluctance was misinterpreted as disapproval of their homosexuality. -

I was at a cafe yesterday and intentionally sat off to the side to not get involved with anyone. Quite pleasant. I was watching some ladies walk by and enjoying my latte when this gay looking Thai guy sits down nearby and keeps glancing over at me. Kind of annoying! -

Why? Most people can't just walk into a restaurant cold turkey, sit down anywhere and start socializing. -

It's normal. Have you tried more extreme sexual activities? If you find something new and exciting you are going to nut. There's a lot out there to experience. Bondage, sadism, gay, numerous fetishes, scat and piss, stuff you have never heard of and don't want to... Best thing to do is try some fetish clubs in Bangkok. Even if you don't know what excites you just check them out, meet people, talk, or go with your partner. Something will seem interesting and warrent further exploration. Like they say in Patpong "Never try, never know!" Live life, you only get one chance.

I don't think seperate checks are popular with Thai's. They usually like to have one person waiting at the end to pay. Everyone "slinks out quietly" like a snake before the bill comes and they don't wait around and kind of "seem to be in a hurry" to exit the venue. Any idea who that last person would be at the dinner? 🤣 (hint: whomever organized the event or acted like they were in charge while there). -
It's common for early inheritances to need to be paid back as care needs increase. This can cause significant problems if the person no longer has the money! People don't factor in the huge cost increases these facilities charge as more care is needed. Last but not least, nobody knows how long they are going to live!

He will likely never make it over here even with the money. If you are not already here you get too old to relocate by the time you seriously consider the relocation. I know many people just wasting money living in the USA. They end up with a household of things they can't get rid of, or take years to plan that garage sale, and never make the move. Any move into a USA assisted living draws down the savings rather quickly as they keep increasing costs. They also have a strange way of keeping you there, even for people that want to leave and move in with family.

Are you renting? I had a problem like this ongoing for months. I finally contacted the landlord and claimed breach of contract due to no water and moved. Deposit was returned.

The good part is he divided it equally 🤣 It often results in quarrels. Strangely the quarrelling kind of holds the family together, even if in a negative way. People are off living their own lives, then are brought back together via the money issue an older relative creates. Even if it's a quarrel the older relative has family engaged about them and is getting a lot of attention in the process as they try to figure out who gets what or who does what regarding elder care. Much better for the older person then just being ignored or people off doing their own thing. It's often done under a cover of helping the younger generation out, but they would get that money anyway when the relative passes. So there can be a flip side to the generosity, an underlying selfish motive, even if the giver does not realize it at the time.

Maybe it's a case of the Op worried about getting older alone and ends up paying for stuff to keep others around. Getting older without any assistance or help can be scary. Had this happen in my own family. People started giving out early inheritances to keep others around and living in close proximity.

You did what all the other fish did. That's why they call it a school of fish.

Probably to the extent that you don't really have a good time (unless you like crowds). The last festival I attended there was mostly watching where I was walking and maneuvering through a sea of people. The actual festival was secondary to that. That said, it can be fun if you're drunk and with the right people. It's all mindset.

Not a drifter? Are you old enough to remember Kwai Chang Caine from the 70's Kung Fu series? A wandering monk who got into adventures. He was broke also but always found his way. Maybe this is who he is trying to emulate. A lot of us grew up on this stuff and he would be in that age bracket. -

Do you know why guys with a penis try to look and act like women in Thailand? Are they gay? -
A good rule of thumb is to simply do what makes you happy. Ultimately, you don't owe anybody anything. Pretend you are a Buddhist monk and just go do your thing and run towards what puts you at peace and happiness at the present moment. 🙏 That could be anything at all, even taking off to a mountain cave without explanation qualifies.
