    Yes, they always ask for it. If you don't have it you are put in a cage. I saw one guy trying to argue about his hotel and that 'he didn't need a place to stay he is returning the same day' they insisted that booked a hotel on his phone there and then.

    I was surprised how Bangkok doesn't really open until 10am. I literally had to walk in with the shopping mall staff one time just to use the crapper. Luckily I was dressed like a wage slave so no one stopped me.

    Yes agencies are scum. They send you threatening emails. Make appointments then don't show up. Change the contract without you knowing. After working with you for a year then threaten to report you if you are illegal. They get 4 million from the government and then pay you 35,000 for 50 hour weeks.
