Mobile phones and solar panels for charging!
bbko replied to LingonBerry's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
Is your home country Thailand? Cause asking which one is efficient & easy to carry on a Thailand based forum is pointless if you live in a different country. What's available here may not be in your home country. -

Pattaya Songtaew Drivers Engage in Fierce Brawl for Passengers
bbko replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
While I have respect for most Thai people, let's be real, what's the education level requirement for a motorbike/songtaew taxi driver? Don't expect high level thinking from a high school drop out. -

Thai workers question Israel’s safety following fatal Hamas attack

A friend of my wife is a single Thai lady and she got a tourist visa to see the USA, but she has owned her own business for many years, is doing well off financially and has a record of visiting other countries and returning back to Thailand. If the GF(s) in the OP have no business, little money, not a homeowner or never traveled outside of Thailand, I'd wager they won't be visiting the USA anytime soon.

Duck Donuts opens its first Thailand store in Bangkok
bbko replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
It's funny to see some here with their "anti-doughnut" rhetoric. It's a doughnut shop for cripes sake, you don't like them, fine, no one if forcing you to eat them. Just like there's a 7-11, a moo ping stand, a fruit smoothie stand, a noodle stand, a fruit cart on ever busy soi, there's going to be doughnut shops in the mall. And it's easy to order doughnuts in moderation, it's not some instant fat, diabetic, carb bomb. Eat a doughnut or two and exercise, zero drama. -

Not his 1st time being an idiot; (from the link) The police’s investigation led them to an unnamed hotel in Pattaya, where the Israeli national was a guest. Upon inquiring about the man, hotel staff revealed that he had been involved in previous disturbances there. The tourist had reportedly made his way to the hotel’s rooftop, where he proceeded to turn off the elevator switch, causing inconvenience within the establishment. Following this incident, he left the hotel premises, only to cause further disturbances at Walking Street. Could it be this is his way of trying to get out of returning home;

Controversial Construction: A Mysterious Pool on Na Jomtien Beach

I doubt the "official" will be gone, he/she will tip those above and get a slight slap on the wrist. The pool will be gone and the government workers will have a fatter wallet. -
Foreign Man Suffers Serious Head Injuries in Pattaya Traffic Accident
bbko replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Wow, I didn't realize you were in on the call with her to the insurance company, 555. For the record she supplied the insurance company with a CCTV video of the accident. I'm just stating what happened with my wife and her accident; no helmet and she was still covered for the hospital and dental bills. This is from actual interactions, not being a arm-chair insurance agent. -
Foreign Man Suffers Serious Head Injuries in Pattaya Traffic Accident
bbko replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
I disagree, my Thai wife (who does not like to wear a helmet) recently went to the local 7-11; a car popped out in front of her and she took a tumble on the motorbike to avoid a collision, she chipped her front tooth (along with a few abrasions), the car took off without giving any information, she spoke with the insurance company and they covered her hospital and dental bills and gave her a 30,000b limit. And when I asked about her 30b medical coverage, she said they will bill the motorbike insurance company first, if we didn't have motorbike insurance, she would have only received the most basic care (no dental crown). -
Over a thousand Thais in Israel want to be flown back to Thailand
bbko replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Are they still staying in southern Israel? How hard is it to bus to a friendly zone (Cario)? If 5000 bombs started raining down my area, I sure as heck would be bugging out as soon as humanly possible via bus, car, motorbike, bike, walking.
