I would love to crawl under one of those cars after a couple of years and look for myself. Do a few checks and check how the parts are holding up. The worst parts I have ever seen from china were the parts with rubber in them. Suspension parts especially. Total , and I mean total junk. Everyone in the US that does any wrenching avoids mechanical part from China. At this point all I buy are seat covers, cosmetic items . I have a set of seat covers for my Tundra I just ordered and got in , excellent ++ quality. Another thing I love from china is the Xiaomi phones. Excellent +++++++++ phones. Bought my first one many years ago in Malaysia and have been using them ever since. The guy that posted the video on his solar house is another item I would like to try out from China. I have heard they are good panels. I need to do some research on the inverters and see some reviews on them.

I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra in the US. I have tried for years to buy quality parts from China. That video clearly shows the exact thing I have been threw with my Toyota when ordering and installing parts from China. I mean it was like exactly my experience with parts. So, I would have to see it to believe it. No offense to you electric car guys, I know nothing about them what so ever. But, I personally would not buy one. Last truck I had in Thailand was a turbo diesel and it was an excellent truck. And it was a lousy Ford... haha. 350KM on the clock and still running when I left.

Thailand is going down a slippery slope IMHO. Look at a map. This will bypass the hostel countries to China. Philippines, Australia , Malaysia. Supplying oil, and goods to and from China. Oil imports to China, and from the Saudi:s, United Emirates , Pakistan , Iran , are picking up. 10-1 , this is bought and paid for by the CCP. When things get hostile they will have a direct pipeline to China. Very interested in seeing how this goes. But, I bet it is put on a fast track. Actually a good move by the CCP if it goes through. Even more interesting to me is how Thailand is aligning with China in all things political. Wow, if we ever see a conflict this is going to get pretty wild for Thailand. You could see bombing of the pipeline, roads in Thailand. At the very least a strange explosion taking out the pipeline. You expats are in for some fun times. -
Same thing here. After 10 years I left. I hated all the places I went to. You get accustomed to Thailand. But, I decided to give it time, and now? I would never go back to live in Thailand. I flip flopped for 3 years, and now the thought of heading to Thailand is agonizing. I have to force myself to go back for a few months to visit friends.

People have been saying that about Tesla ever since they came out. They all lost that bet.

Same here. I have tried using them for parts for years. It's a fools game. They are masters now at , as we say it here " putting lipstick on a pig" They look nice , and hold up for a while. Then start falling apart.

Funny, I am in the US now. Just for grins I ordered three bearings, OEM part from China, and it came in a Toyota box. 3 bearings. I took it to the Toyota dealer here and compared. Toyota boxes were fake, parts were cheap fakes. China is a joke.

Yeah, come to South America. Refuse, and you will die, plain and simple. Couple of weeks ago an Ukraine man thought he was tough. Dead in about 10 seconds. Thailand and allot of SE Asia countries are places where you can resist and not die most of the time. But, allot of countries you resist or fight and you die. -

I agree with the Thai's on this , it is outragous and extremly offensive ! Ok, I am off to the Go Go bar , and on my way I think I will stop off at the "weed" shop for a toke. Then , off for a soapy massage. With a happy ending. -
True not endemic to Thailand, but a fact Colombia is cheaper. With better care. I come to Thailand for what it is intended. Not for healthcare. Sounds like you have never been out of Thailand. Ignorance is bliss. Enjoy!

Just what a retiree wants in later life. Chocking to death in Thailand. But, snuggling up to your 30-40 year old GF negates about 1 point off the 2.5PM scale. Hey baby I have two Hepa filters running on high in my house ... Want to party.. :) You look hot tonight baby, lets head back home and turn on the Hepa filters. Just not feeling it tonight baby. Did you forget to turn on the Hepa filers again? -
And after the announcement 10,000 Chinese military booked flights to Thailand. Head Thailand officials all bought new Mercedes Benz with The new Thai proposed currency the Yuan. At a high level meeting after the games, between the Chinese and Thai, at the Pussycat club in Pattaya. Chinese and Thai officials stated it was all propaganda spread by the US and western allies. Typical, expats or people defending Thailand. Blaming the total rip off's on the customer. I don't mind paying extra for quality , but being ripped off is another thing all togeather.

Come on out bug T. I miss the street riots of years gone by. Or have you sold out to the current rulers of Thailand. I am kinda curious. -
Exactly, after being on this forum for years. It is staggering how many live here and don't know anything about Thailand.
-
Doesn't matter because most people that live in Thailand don't have options. But, in Colombia it is about 30% cheaper than in Thailand. With much much better quality IMO. Just a heads up.
