  1. That's why I said there needs to be a document which becomes part of the articles of association of the company.
  2. Interesting that you think Ukraine can beat Russia!
  3. Which Ukraine is experiencing now. Cannon fodder to Russian artillery.
  4. It seems that Ukraine is having great difficulty in shifting these untrained drunks with no motivation, out of their country!
  5. Through a company board of directors (shareholders) meeting you could appoint your Lady as vice director, which means she will take control of the company on your demise. This could be drawn up as a document which then becomes a legal part of the articles of operations of the company. I don't think a will carries the same weight.
  6. If you have a Thai drivers license, the cops will accept that as ID. Never been asked to show my passport ever.
  7. So why did you reply to an irrelevant comment. Sort of makes your comment just as irrelevant!
  8. Seems like an odd thing to do, unless you have problems with your wife?
  9. Not sure how something that happened in 2007 has relevance today? Fortunately these sorts of accidents don't happen so often.
  10. I would try to get the refund. At worse they will say No. Are they there 24hrs a day?
  11. Yes, I am NRL (non resident Landlord) as far as HMRC concerned. But that doesn't mean you are exempt from paying UK tax on Thai earnings. I don't think you can take advantage of the tax free amount on Thai earnings you should ask an accountant. Having retired and getting a fixed state pension because I live here. Not being entitled to future increases. I don't see why I should pay tax on Thai earnings to HMRC. If it's down to self reporting because Thai Revenue don't inform HMRC. You have an answer of sorts! Personally I have no intention of informing HMRC of anything related to Thailand other than I live here.
  12. My accountant kept asking me about earnings in Thailand. My understanding is that the HMRC expect you to declare any Thai earnings. They accept Thai Tax have first call on taxing Thai income. But. If income tax is 15% here. HMRC will want the other 5% to match the 20% tax in the UK. Depending on how the money was earned, Thai Revenue may or may not inform HMRC. I think it's down to you to declaring Thai earnings to HMRC. I don't think Thai revenue inform HMRC. Not 100% sure though.

  14. Talk about manufactured hysteria! It was a weather balloon.
  15. On the other hand you could be arrested for working on a tourist Visa!
  16. Israel has tried a number of times to make peace with the Palestinians. On each occasion the Palestinians rejected peace. So really the Palestinians have deprived themselves of Life, Liberty, and Happiness.
  17. It's very relevant. The Palestinians deny the right of Israel to exist. Until they accept that right, they themselves will not have a nation.
  18. The Palestinian Arabs do not support a two state solution. As they say it takes two to tango.
  19. If they say Feb 21st, make sure you go. It doesn't matter who is right. But you will be wrong if you don't go.
  20. If you are transferring a really large amount of money. Why transfer in one go? better to play the exchange rates, and transfer in smaller amounts. But you really should check out bank fees first. I think you will find Bank Fees are a lot higher than using a money transfer site like wise.com for any amount.
  21. Why not try wise.com to transfer funds to Thailand. They probably give one of the best exchange rates for transfers. Even better than sending sending USD to a bank in Thailand. And letting them convert to THB.
  22. Churchill was right! “The best argument against Democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.”
