Tigers draw with Blues. I guess that stops the bullying. My biased opinion is that Tigers missed more simple goals so hope they can improve on that. Blues tall forwards looking on swing. They just had to contend with one of the best in Grimes and his associates in defense. Hope for another thriller today. Go Pies!

I've faced problems in Australia while trying to use power of attorney. Third parties simply don't like to rely on the paper you hand to them. It should by law allow me to act as if I am that person but it hasn't been like that for me. The rule is anything goes depending on which human you deal with and on what day. That's the real law. Good luck anyhow.

JetStar, one of the most hated airlines in the world – survey
TimeMachine replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yep. Unfortunately many in jobs they don't belong. There would only be one way to get rid of the money greedy men in industry and that's to promote everyone to avoid the business to make a point that bad behaviour is not tolerated. Alas, people who commit more horrid crimes are let go. In short Evil pays and if I had kids I would install the tuffness of such evil in them to succeed amongst societies finest evil people. Thank you to the Aussie Cossack who showed a clip showing QANTAS boss at his finest. That was pretty funny. -

Government consumer protections agencies still exist in Australia but they have stopped performing like they did in the past. They are allowing all sorts of strife to occur and are scared to discipline any one over poor or even illegal performances. Contacting on ombudsman these days is useless. You just need to go back to the good old scream your head off at someone to get a result -

TimeMachine replied to Delight's topic in General Topics
I've noticed fake Asics on Lazada.******* Is there any shop in Pattaya I can go to to try these on? ****** Maybe they are still worth the money to try. But I won't risk buy without try Incase they are like concrete soles. -
Australian Dollar is collapsing
TimeMachine replied to Adumbration's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
My current feeling is that the Australian dollar will cycle between 20-30 baht per dollar for the next eternity. Taking that into account, I will wake up every morning, spend a dollar, then sleep. Cycle. And I think it's as likely as there being a war with China about Taiwan as there is a war with Australia about it's take over of Native's land. China will probably control Taiwan but no one will care ultimately. -
Thinking of hinging a table top to the wall so that it can fold up out of the way when not needed. Anybody done this. Useful idea or annoying because can't be moved around?

Home Solar a DIY approach
TimeMachine replied to Bandersnatch's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Sweet. Have you managed to get any real life figures on power supplied by system and pay back period taking into account cost increases of power authority supplied electricity? In places like Australia it's a no brainer to get solar when it's given to you for next to nothing by the lovely government ( even though they steal away some of the electricity back away from you). Payback was about 7 years in Oz for my setup. Having to pay retail for solar in Thailand is still a pretty risky venture, right? Especially when not being supported by government for common households. I haven't done any example numbers for awhile but don't think pricing on equipment has come down enough, or electricity prices haven't gone up high enough to warrant a rush to do solar yet in Thailand. -
Home Solar a DIY approach

I've noticed 450w huge panels being sold in major stores in Pattaya now. Anybody tried? Also anybody using the Mr Pow inverters. Mine in Australia doesn't like the heat and often fails with errors. Finally, anybody working on new technology that produces electricity from darkness? Have a rippa week all. -
I used a powmr in Australia and comes up with beeping errors often and doesn't like heat. I'd investigate models a bit. Possibly upgrade the fan and heatsinks inside. I do see many repair YT videos on the powmr style of inverters. Not necessarily a stay away warning from me. Just research your purchase a bit before investing. Also look at using DC day time appliances hence removing the need for so much inverter capacity.

Two Men Dead In A Game Of Russian Roulette
TimeMachine replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand
Check out the movie 13. Based on same game. Surely this story is made up. I can't believe it. -
Heard from a friend last week arrived VOA without departure flight. He was not questioned about it. No problems. So may be worth waiting until you get asked at airport to buy return flight.

My fan too makes noise when slowed down with 3rd party controller. Not sure if it's solvable with added components like capacitors or balancing. But I'll leave that up to the fan engineers.

Not sure why the people who are more likely to afford spending more money such as highly paid diplomatic passport holders are exempt? Maybe because they can afford their own bills? Maybe because it's tax payer money to begin with? Also, is the amount I pay only going to pay for those that skip out on bills or will it afford me any advantage?

I think you have done well if this is the first issue facing an unhelpful staff. I have had a few problems whereby it seems staff find a high from causing a problem for friendly people that just want to fit into society fairly. I do expect there are those few that have still never had an issue. My attitude has changed. Nowadays more than ever I expect to have a problem and when I do I treat it as a problem/solution checklist, whereby at the end, if no solution exists I walk away politely thinking I did all that I could do and move to plan B then C which would be give up and return to my home country. So far, luckily plan B's have been successfully executed checklist style. At this time I would also like to say that also there are staff that are very helpful. Good luck all.

Only can suggest a clean out and oil. I'll let you know how I go with mine.

AU $2.37 30%OFF | AC 220V 2000W SCR Voltage Regulator Dimming Dimmers Motor Speed Controller Thermostat Electronic Voltage Regulator Module https://a.aliexpress.com/_mMbdphk Cut the existing fan cable and fit input terminal wires at plug section and output wires onto fans cable. Of course it's high dangerous voltage so it needs to be put in a secure plastic box and cables secured tightly. As long as your an adult with understanding of insulating live voltage and that touching 220v can kill you you should be fine. The main dangers are plugging in while it's unfinished and exposed to be touched. And also if it's not secured super tightly with twists in cable or other securing help the wires can pull out of its plastic box that you have chosen if tugged hard enough. As always at your own risk. Might be some YouTube vids on that exact same speed controller .

I find that too. A slower speed is needed on my fan. I ordered a simple 220v speed controller circuit off AliExpress. Coming soon.

Is there a back Doctor in the house please?
TimeMachine replied to up2you2's topic in Health and Medicine
I was recommended hanging upside down. I do it at gym hanging my torso over the back incline equipment. There are specific tilt tables for this purpose too. I recommend trying it. Start slowly and if improvement felt do what suits you. I am just a doctor of life and not a certificate qualified doctor. -
