  1. Fourteen people were reported injured as Israelis in huge numbers hit streets in Tel Aviv and protested PM Benjamin Netanyahu's alleged inaction over Gaza hostage crisis. Protesters, including families of captives, called on Netanyahu to accept hostage and ceasefire deal proposed by U.S. president Joe Biden for both Israel and Hamas.
  2. I'm going against the trend here, I have a 2013 Focus 1600 Trend Auto, picked up cheap 100k 2 years ago under half what it was worth at the time due to gearbox problems, took me 15 minutes to fix with a 13mm, 10mm spanners and some Dielectric Grease, they have a electrical fault half the time. Done over 50,000kms since runs great, cheap as chips to service at the local Ford dealer, you do get silly faults but show me any car that doesn't.
  3. He has small man syndrome, being only 5foot 7inches, loved picking up the soap while using the showers in the Nick, other than that, he wanted to be an Astronaut and if I had been his Father he would he been shot into space.

  5. No idea what my problem is then, changed VPN to USA, no VPN, VPN Thailand, different browser as well, my connection is good so I'm beat, I think it's the same blurb as yesterday so no bother.
  6. Changed to US VPN and no VPN, still dead?
  7. Don't care, when we've got to go you're going, either by natural causes or some nutter pressing the big button, and there is Foxtrot Alfa anybody on here can do to stop it. Waste of time worrying about it, get on and enjoy whatever life you have.
  8. A senior administration official said yesterday the four-and-a-half-page proposal had been endorsed by the Israeli government and had been presented to Hamas on Friday. But it was unclear how enthusiastically Netanyahu had embraced the proposal, which Hamas said it had responded to “positively” (see earlier post at 08.31). https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2024/jun/01/israel-gaza-war-live-netanhayu-biden-hamas-ceasefire-plan-rafah-aid-middle-east#top-of-blog Whoever found this post funny needs to get a life. Your either part of the problem or a coward to reply.
  9. 9m ago10.32 BST Netanyahu insists on Hamas’ 'destruction' as part of plan to end war in Gaza Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has insisted on Hamas’s destruction and said Israel’s conditions for ending the war in Gaza remain unchanged. It came a day after Joe Biden said Israel was offering a new roadmap towards a full ceasefire in Gaza. The US president said Israel’s three-stage offer would begin with a six-week phase that would see Israeli forces withdraw from all populated areas of Gaza. It would also see the “release of a number of hostages, including women, the elderly, the wounded, in exchange for (the) release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners”, Biden said. In a statement issued on Saturday, Netanyahu described the commitment to a permanent ceasefire before Hamas military and government capacity is destroyed as a “non-starter”. Netanyahu said: A senior administration official said yesterday the four-and-a-half-page proposal had been endorsed by the Israeli government and had been presented to Hamas on Friday. But it was unclear how enthusiastically Netanyahu had embraced the proposal, which Hamas said it had responded to “positively” (see earlier post at 08.31). https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2024/jun/01/israel-gaza-war-live-netanhayu-biden-hamas-ceasefire-plan-rafah-aid-middle-east#top-of-blog
  10. Fine, not the end of the world for me, I thought if we together as 2 people as far apart as the main protagonists, Hamas/Israel could come to some sort of agreement there could be a chance of peace here and in the Middle East, obviously to much of a leap for you.
  11. I agree, as long as those who surrender are tried and sentenced in a court of law and not summarily executed by Israel with no trial. If that is ever a possibility, yes. That is not for me to agree to, mainly because I will always disagree that the conduct of Israel for years has never helped the situation. You know full well I am biting my tongue on the reasons why Hamas did what they did on 7/10, I agree it is difficult for you to accept that this all started without any provocation from Israel. I agree they are holding hostages, including innocent civilians. As far as being rewarded goes, not so much, unless there is some arrangement with the Israeli's to agree to this ceasefire there is nothing rewarding. Now that is a big ask, can we leave that one on the table for now?
  12. Not making anything up, I felt I was agreeing with you that this needs sorting as it stands now, but it looks to me as if you still want to go tit for tat on the whole situation, can we agree to something along the lines of reconciliation between both sides and stop all the bickering on here?
  13. So Brian you're not interested in any sort of moratorium on a ceasefire where you cannot blame Hamas at every opportunity? And yes, I know who started it on the 7/10. The deal needs to be sorted for humanities sake and I was trying to be positive, so is it in your opinion I am wasting my time?
  14. I think it's about time we all agree to stop putting the 2 sides accusations of the main protagonists aside and support the deal as it does appear to be some sort of progress towards a ceasefire.
  15. Hamas welcomed US President Joe Biden’s call on Friday for Israel and the group to agree to a three-phased hostage deal leading to a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. “The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas views positively what was included in US President Joe Biden’s speech today,” the group said in a statement. On Friday, Biden called on Israel and Hamas to accept a three-phase deal which includes the release of hostages in Gaza, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the enclave, a permanent ceasefire, and an exchange of prisoners. https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/hamas-views-israel-ceasefire-proposal-positively-group-says-after-bidens-speech
  16. No, not at all, read and inwardly digest what I wrote.
  17. To be totally honest I don't trust the majority of news media sites, especially where it's all about profits, kowtowing to owners etc etc, countries/states from whatever side only wanting their point of view published with no corroborating evidence from independent sources.
  18. No you didn't, but you called into question AJ and I said I felt the same about The Times of Israel, what's your point?
  19. I feel exactly the same when I see posts relating to Israeli actions reported by The Times of Israel, which cannot be verified by outside sources, everyone is entitled to an opinion on the news wherever it comes from surely.
  20. “Decisive international action” – including sanctions and an arms embargo – must be imposed on Israel over its widely condemned assault on the southern Gaza city of Rafah, dozens of UN experts demand. Israel’s attack on Rafah is not a “major operation”, the US State Department says, even though thousands of troops are in the area, dozens of Palestinians have been killed, and one million people displaced. Israel’s military killed more than 60 people – including many women and children – in four days of attacks on “safe zones” in Rafah, Save the Children charity says. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/liveblog/2024/5/31/israels-war-on-gaza-live-unrelenting-nightmare-for-weary-palestinians
  21. I agree with you on that, Israel lost the popularity vote there big time. New data shared with TIME from the business intelligence company Morning Consult shows that support for Israel around the world has dropped significantly since the war in Gaza began. Net favorability—the percentage of people viewing Israel positively after subtracting the percentage viewing it negatively—dropped globally by an average of 18.5 percentage points between September and December, decreasing in 42 out of the 43 countries polled. https://time.com/6559293/morning-consult-israel-global-opinion/
  22. You are joking of course, as you and others on here frequently say no war before 7/10 but as soon as I say great idea, as in release all the hostages in Gaza, then ask the question of what happens next if it did happen, go back to the status quo of before 7/10 then I'm being silly, give us a break.
