Kamala Harris Reemerges with a Stark Warning on Democracy’s Future
kimothai replied to Social Media's topic in World News
There you go again; you just set off my BS alarm. During the 2024 campaign, Trump explicitly stated his intention to implement new tariffs if re-elected. Trump is doing EXACTLY what the voters mandated him to do. Polls can be skewed and change from one day to the next, much like the polls that said Hillary was going to win. -

Crystal clear!! Thank you for quoting numbers that mean little to nothing in regard to electing a President. -

What fake facts are you talking about? I was just pointing out that the electoral college elected Trump by a huge margin and the popular vote is inconsequential. -

"it was only 1.5% difference to Donnie". Who cares? The popular vote does NOT elect a President. As usual, the left never wants to talk about the mandate that the "Electoral College" gave Trump. -

LTR Investment Suggestions
kimothai replied to JB300's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Your assumption of 2 years proof of income is incorrect. Both myself and a friend only had to show 1 year. Different situations may warrant different requirements. Do yourself a hugh favor and simply call/email BOI with your concerns. The BOI is extremely helpful and friendly. You will spend much less time with the BOI (and get accurate answers) than you will weeding through forum replies. Try it! You'll see -
Don't you get tired of fear mongering

I loved the Y2K scam. Made a lot of extra money traveling around testing computer systems for Y2K integrity. The other 2 scams listed are just rubbish IMHO. -
Don't complain. I had a class that required using a slide ruler.

Travel Thailand's Chinese Tourism Faces Crisis as Arrivals Plummet
kimothai replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Thailand always seems to have a penchant to put all its eggs in one basket. They only focus on the group they consider will make them the fastest/most money. Much like investing in high-risk stocks that pay the highest dividends but when things go south you have nobody to blame but yourself. -
I just came through immigration this afternoon (21 Apr) with LTR about 2 years old for the second time. It was very fast, like it was no big deal. The only slowdown was the line when a Chinese guy decided to take a picture of the immigration boot that had a sign "no photography". He was quickly grabbed by an IO and forced to delete off phone. I also noticed that the entry sign to "fast track" also contained the LTR nomenclature which I hadn't noticed before but that was almost a year ago.

All you are doing is trying to minimize the impact of Trump winning the popular vote, but really, who cares? A President isn't elected by popular vote, it's the electoral college that elects a President and that was overwhelmingly in favor of Trump and that decisive victory WAS clearly a mandate for Trump.

I guess you are in denial about the last election when the vast majority of Americans WERE thinking. Your entire statement is nothing but hate because that's all you have left. No wonder your own democratic strategist (James Carville) described you lefties as "stunningly stupid". Stupid in one hand and hate in the other hand - good luck with that.

Autocratic implies that a leader doesn't seek advice/input from others. That's simply not true with Trump - he listens to what people have to say and I suspect he always will but I don't have a crystal ball. Elections will never be just for show (as Russia) in USA. If the democrats continue the doubling down on their DEI, importing murders & gang angers, men beating up women in sports, etc, etc, then elections will overwhelmingly lean to the right. Then the left will claim the elections are for show because they refuse to admit that the vast majority of American voters are not buying what the left is selling

Trump’s Tariffs: A Chaotic Dream within a Lost Era

Ain't that the truth. Just because America has the largest economy doesn't entitle every other country to take advantage. -
