Just recently was hearing that Trump is going to allow farmers to vouch for migrants (even if undocumented) to be able to stay and work on the farm. He (Trump) was referring to the farmers in Iowa but (I'm guessing) should probably be extended to other areas. They (government) are working on the details as per Trump.

Banking is getting tighter/more restrictive. I've had similar problems with accessing USA bank from Thailand. I have to use a VPN located in USA and if OTP is necessary it needs to go to a USA number. You may want to consider using a VPN located in Thailand and have the ability to receive an OTP to the registered Thai number (which I'm guessing will require you to have roaming). Good luck. I've always considered banking/financials is a moving target, just when you have it all figured out, they will change something.

I think a 3rd (new) party is really the only option at this point. The lefty Democratics are nothing more than a dumpster fire now. They pushed agendas that very few people could stomach and all they're silly tactics are backfiring. Hopefully if, if a new party emerges, it will have some common sense, which the current Democratic party seems to have little or none of.

Report Cannabis Chaos: 12,000 Thai Shops Face Closure Under New Rules

I think these wishy-washy policies (of the Thai government) will only put off many foreign investors in the future. You reap what you sow. -
No True Move Wallet for Foreigners?
kimothai replied to Zenwind's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Don't use any of the so-called wallets as I've never had the need. Use a credit card for hotels and hospitals and some restaurants as the price is the same and no extra cc fees. I've never seen anywhere that won't take cash. Used a bank transfer with a QR code a few times. As far as I'm concerned, the less apps that have my financial info the better. -
I paid almost the same here (20,000) in Pattaya. Had 2 bumps on my back removed (one cancerous & one not) and used the spray nitrogen on my head. The bumps went to pathology and was given the all clear. Cost included a couple of follow up appointments. Luckily I have insurance that will pay the majority of cost.

Tourism Decline of Chinese Tourists in Pattaya Raises Concerns
kimothai replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
I'm guessing that getting kidnapped isn't on the Chinese bucket list. -
Trump could have used the Insurrection Act (which authorized him), but he didn't too. He simply invoked Title 10 authority (to protect federal personnel and property). I'm tired of doing research for you. Either you think you are entitled or as I said before, "stunningly stupid" or maybe just too lazy. This research only takes 10-15 seconds to do, but in your case maybe longer since I'm guessing you can only type with one finger.

Can those public Reverse Osmosis Water Filters be trusted?
kimothai replied to save the frogs's topic in General Topics
When I first came to Thailand, I shared a house with a friend who would get water from those public machines. After drinking his coffee made with the water machine water, I would have a lot of issues with diarrhea but when I quit drinking the coffee it all went away (no more diarrhea). Oddly it didn't seem to affect my friend, but he was taking a lot of meds for various ailments. I now use a water machine and have water delivered. They come once a week and replace the empty (18 liter) bottles that has the fee underneath. -
After going thru 4 or 5 office chairs that would eventually break down and have to be replaced, I bought an Anda Seat about 5 years ago. They are actually considered a gaming chair. It's still as good as the 1st day I used it. More expensive than the typical office chairs but as far as I'm concerned, it was the best money I ever spent. You can find them in stores such as Central or Power Buy to see if you like.

How do you feel about Thailand being clearly far-right?
kimothai replied to JoseThailand's topic in General Topics
Yes. Thank you pointing out and confirming exactly what I was talking about in the first place which was lefty use of far right
