These are the points of your rant that seem to matter. You claim you were arrested but 5 minutes of chatting later they let you in Definitely not arrested so what's the big deal?

Non-imm O from Australia
Pattaya57 replied to Pattaya57's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Being used to visa exempt entries or a hard tourist visa in passport I just realised that I haven't shown the emailed non-imm O proper respect. Had it a week and still hadn't saved it to laptop or printed it out so if I lose that email it's gone. Just printed 2 copies 😀 -
Do you think 57 is an old man that needs a cane? I'm speaking from experience. When I got actively involved I loved it and had a great time with wet Thai girls everywhere. When I didn't get actively involved I hated it so for me better to just stay home for a week (early morning walks and night time were still okay)

Have you run out of thread ideas? You already did this last October but you were only a witness to someone choking then. Now you helped him and he abused you. Nice story change 😆

Re-Entry Permit Warning
Pattaya57 replied to mikebell's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Seems more like a warning of don't be stupid. Of course a re-entry permit is only stamped until current permission of stay -
Non-imm O from Australia
Pattaya57 replied to Pattaya57's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I went "other visa" then selected non-imm O. Application only required passport page, passport photo, driver's licence and 6 month bank statement -
I found that to survive Songkran you have 2 choices. Lock yourself in your condo or go all in and enjoy yourself with water guns blazing. Other option of getting pissed off if people spray you is not really an option

OP links one of his previous threads that this started for him in October last year. Here's my October extension applied 10 Oct with expiry 27 Oct so 17 days before as I've always done last 6 years. This is why I think it's just him as he's been on back to back visa exempts for a year so may be treated differently?

43 days in Thailand
Pattaya57 replied to novanova's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That's just an agent site who was smart enough to call themselves thaiembassy so that people like you believe everything they say is true 😆 -
43 days in Thailand
Pattaya57 replied to novanova's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
My last check-in with Singapore Airlines out of Brisbane I never even spoke to check-in staff as it's all automated kiosk now where they don't ask about visa or return flight. So not a problem for OP. If issue just explain you'll get a 30 day extension. This method is pasted all over the Thai Embassy sites as a legitimate extra stay process. He also has a return flight so no cost risk for airline. All these people stating you must have a ticket within 30 days are scaremongers who have likely never been rejected a flight, just repeating nonsense they heard on this forum 😉 -
43 days in Thailand
Pattaya57 replied to novanova's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I'm retired 6 years now and flown from australia to Thailand 3-4 times a year with ticket 60 days from arrival to cater for 30 days visa exempt + 30 day extension. Never had a problem. (Thai Airways & Singapore Airlines) -
Non-imm O from Australia
Pattaya57 replied to Pattaya57's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I applied on Wednesday and just received my approved non-imm O visa today (Saturday), so 72 hours to get approval (application said 10 business days). This whole process was extremely simple and fast and the best thing is using the global e-visa site got rid of the rogue 90 day Thai insurance requirement. Really happy 😀 Note: when I applied the e-visa site indicated only 1 month validity so I was concerned. The visa issued however is valid for entry up to 3 months from the application date (20 June) -
Me too, just paid A$120 for non-O e-visa in Aus. Charging NZ$800 for non-O is ridiculous so can't imagine anyone actually doing it. Much cheaper to apply for non-O in Thailand as only 2000 baht (NZ$92) Same with NZ$300 for a 60 day tourist visa. Get 30 day visa exempt for free + 30 day extension for 1900 baht (NZ$87)
