What I've found different this trip is that there are so many baht bus driving down the beach side lane instead of the inner lane. Has made it much more difficult to get a ride as they can't stop to pick you up without crossing 1 or 2 lanes of traffic? Do they maybe pick up from right lane as well now as I just saw them pick up from middle lane 😄

Just because someone is new to the forum doesn't make them new to Pattaya or Thailand life (I've owned a Condo in Pattaya since 2009).

Fatal Accident Claims Life of Big Bike Rider in Chonburi
Pattaya57 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
A random googled photo and no article source link? Ah, found it reported in Pattaya News where OP is almost identical wording. At least they showed a red & black Honda CBR as photo 😆 The bike pic shows very little damage, just some heavy scrapes down right hand side (unlike the pic of a totally destroyed bike in OP) -
I don't get it. The OP already started a thread about where to get an electric Jug, surely the answer to that is the same place to buy a fan? What's next, thread about where to buy a sandwich maker?

I was a little shocked last year when I got a 2900 baht elec bill in April when normally it's about 1200-1400. I serviced the aircons as weren't as cold as they should be and put a movable fan in the tv room. I still used aircon in bedroom all night to sleep but Elec bill in May came back down to 1500

Question about Long Term Residency Visa
Pattaya57 replied to Eddie45's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Have you checked the 100 page current thread on the LTR visa? https://aseannow.com/topic/1265383-ltr-visa-is-now-available-for-long-term-residency/ -
Original Elite Visa ForSale
Pattaya57 replied to fredjaidee's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
For anyone 50+ you can get a yearly retirement extension + multiple re-entry permit for 30k a year through an agent, so costs 600k baht spread over 20 years. That leaves 2.8 million you can spend on any perks you like 😉 -
Original Elite Visa ForSale
Pattaya57 replied to fredjaidee's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
But you'd have to be stupid to pay 5 million for the 20 year elite when you can get two back to back 10 year elite visa's for 3 million (1.5 million each) There's the real comparison: (1) Pay 3.4 million now to get 20 year visa that only gives you 90 day permission of stay on entry; or (2) Pay 3 million split over 10 years with 1.5 million now for 10 year visa that gives 1 year permission of stay on entry. Pay another 1.5 million in 10 years time therefore allowing you to invest your money for 10 years -
Original Elite Visa ForSale
Pattaya57 replied to fredjaidee's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
So you priced it @ 3.4 million baht, the exact same price as getting a new one! Why would someone buy a used visa for the same price as a new one? Also you said in OP it only gets you 90 days on every entry. The new elite visa gets you one year on every entry. Much more useful and at 900k baht for initial 5 year visa much cheaper (1.5 million for 10 year or 2.5 million for 15 years) -
Some misinformation in this thread. Last December I went all the way down to the VAT refund counter (before check-in) and waited in line only to be told at counter no need to go there as item was < 20,000 baht cost (as per daejung post above) So I just needed to go to the VAT counter after immigration for the refund on my 12,000 baht phone. Didn't even have to show it to them

Why not, he already has 2 of the exact same threads here so this one makes 3 😆

Chonburi Immigration Office Announces Holiday Closures in May
Pattaya57 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Why do they announce closure for week-ends that they are always closed for anyway? There are only 3 public holidays: - Monday 6th - Friday 10th - Wednesday 22nd -
A mod changed the thread title to that so ask about which schools his grammar is instead 😆

You're missing the point. I've been to this place many times and no-one has ever asked for a tip. OP's thread history also suggests he can't afford a facial at this place. Made up story
-
Yep, now he's in Jomtien every time he has a brain-fart there'll be a new thread
-
OP don't you get tired of making up stories? Is it attention you are seeking or are you just a troll, which I guess also gives you the attention you may be seeking....
-
BS from a Bogan... Surprised OP could afford the 800-1200 baht fee for a facial there nevermind a 60 baht tip

New Visa Exemption Rules?
Pattaya57 replied to cjinchiangrai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
And they have wrong info on them just like mentioned in the other thread 3 days ago. I remember this being brought up over a year ago as well and the embassies have still not corrected the errors -
New Visa Exemption Rules?
Pattaya57 replied to cjinchiangrai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Well you're the one spreading false info posted on Facebook pages so maybe you should have a go at finding the factual Police Order like he suggested 😆 -
New Visa Exemption Rules?
Pattaya57 replied to cjinchiangrai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Do you really think airlines scroll through embassy Facebook pages to get their boarding requirements 😆 -
New Visa Exemption Rules?
Pattaya57 replied to cjinchiangrai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
From your own link it says by land and sea, not by air: For traveling to Thailand by land and sea, UK ordinary passport holders are eligible for Visa Exemption Scheme with a maximum of twice in a calendar year. -
New Visa Exemption Rules?
Pattaya57 replied to cjinchiangrai's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Didn't we just have this thread on Monday whereby not a single credible link to these supposed new rules was shown? https://aseannow.com/topic/1325542-has-anyone-heard-of-a-new-law/
