  1. So if it's not for a Thai visa then why post it in the Thai Visa sub-forum? I was going to respond thinking you needed it for the 90 day non-imm O as that's the only 3 month Thai visa needing approved health insurance but you're basically just asking about travel insurance, a totally different beast
  2. Just my 2 cents but if you are so close to Cambodia border why not try it (what have you got to lose). If they don't issue TV then travel to Laos from there to try again? Or if they do issue TV but don't let you cross at Poipet use the TV at different crosing?
  3. This is not new as I have seen this numerous times at Jomtien over the last few years. As I understand it you are required to attend immigration in person for an extension and this photo serves as proof you did attend. Even when I do my 30 day visa exempt extensions the IO takes a photo of me for the file
  4. So where else would a bolt rider transport a passenger if not on his rear seat?
  5. Yep, laying concrete on soi 15 Bukhao end (which you can bypass anyway). After Centara and Grand Avenue they had almost finished with cars able to pass over rough dirt path, but yesterday they dug it all up again ???? Soi 15 and 2nd road an absolute mess. Can't even walk through
  6. I walk beach road most days and from walking street end to Central Festival there are rubbish bins every 30-40 metres. They only stop for the first half of beach road that they are re-paving so guess they haven't got around to putting them back yet. Either way all the partying is walking street end and at 6am I've never seen so many drunk Thais which seem to be having a lot of harmless fun ???? Easier to blame it on foreigners I guess but I've seen only a few at that time of day Here are the bins in case people missed them (they also have large blue bins spread out on beach road as well)
  7. Didn't you like the answers in your other condo search thread for Pratumnak, isn't that where Sky Residence is?
  8. I just went to 7/11 and they had 2 types of garbage bags. One pack for 39 baht and the other for 49 baht. Can't belive someone would take back garbage bags that they chose to buy just to get back < 50 baht because they changed their mind (and then rant about it on a forum)
  9. Just to prove your theory wrong, my 2br unit in Pattaya is 100 sqm, while my 2br unit in Australia is 85 sqm. I live 6 months in each and both are very comfortable with plenty of space for a single guy
  10. Thread is total gossip. Asean Now has become the place of rumours and false news allowing 6 pages of responses to rubbish
  11. OP you state you got a 28 day VOA (which doesn't exist). You do know the 30 day visa exempt includes the arrival and departure day so 28 days if you don't count those arrival/departure days? Why don't you post what day you arrived and date of stamp. I'm sure that will be 30 days when you count properly
  12. No doubt that's what you believe you'll have. In reality you'll have a 30 day visa exempt stamp, followed by a 90 day non-imm O visa, followed by a 12 month extension stamp
  13. It's in the article "The foreign man then got in his car and drove it toward the traffic flow, leading to collisions with three other cars and one additional motorcycle, ultimately resulting in his own vehicle overturning."
  14. Deleted, failed baht math conversion lol
  15. OP has started a buy new condo thread where studio discussed at length, then Nirun condo, then live on a boat and now who lives in a studio. You are not even in Thailand so when are you back to do all these things you keep posting about?
  16. What would they see that you can't see from a baht bus? Baht bus also much more regular so not standing around in the heat waiting for the red bus
  17. To OP, to save all the hassle of TM30 and TM7 30 day extension while your sister is on holiday, she could just get a 60 day tourist visa from Thai Consulate in Sydney. It costs $60 (1350 baht) and is valid for entry within 3 months so can apply now (mine took 5 business days + 1 day express post each way). This is actually cheaper than the 1900 Baht extension and she doesn't need to worry about all this onward flight stuff quoted above https://sydney.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/tourist-visa-single-entry
  18. 30 day extension at Jomtien as an Aussie is easy as. Been doing it 3 times a year for last 8 years (except Aussie covid ban) and never had a problem. Even better now they've built the new air-con building in the car park
  19. Yep, they are now digging up a 200 metre stretch of road directly in front of Bodega Bar and the two Wonderful bars. Totally destroys any atmosphere with the noise and this is your view (or digger/dozer) ????
  20. No rain on soi 15 yesterday. Will be a huge mess when it does rain though
  21. Check with your Condo Juristic. Mine is going to arrange a painter they use all the time once I'm ready to pull the trigger
  22. @mrblonde It can only get better by November when you arrive. Here is what it looks like right now in front of Centara and Grand Avenue. No access to cars or bikes through that
  23. This is beyond a joke now. I live in middle of Soi 15 and both ends on 2nd road and Soi Bukhao are blocked off. My Airport taxi tried to take the small lane between soi Dianna and the soi 15 7/11 behind Avenue but became impossible due to traffic going both ways and you can't pass each other due to parked cars. Eventually went down dirt road behind Grand Avenue which makes Soi pothole look like a major road. I won't bother trying to catch a bolt. The worst part is they had finished the 2nd road end in April 2022, now they dug it up again ????
  24. You already posted this thread link in 2nd post of thread. It is over 3 years old and things may have changed. The Official Thailand immigration link I posted above clearly says you can apply for an OX in Thailand and lists all requirements to do so
  25. Back to the OP of can you apply for a Non-OX in Thailand, the Thai Immigration website lists all visa you can apply for in Thailand and item 20 is a Non-OX (fee 10,000 baht) https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=2537
