  1. So none of what you say aligns with new technology of not speaking to a check-in person. And you call me naive?
  2. Wow, you are the first person I've ever heard about that had to show 20,000 baht at airport departure and you say they ask uou half the time
  3. OP must think VD only happens in Pattaya
  4. I got my extinguisher from Home Pro on Pattaya Klang, there were many sizes. I have my extingher just outside main bedroom so if fire starts while sleeping I have a chance to get out
  5. Wow, they've even put dashed white lines down the middle and solid yellow line on corners ???? Actually it's pretty impressive painting. No sooner do they paint the lines people are riding and walking over them and no marks. Must be instant dry?
  6. Depends on Embassy/Consulate I guess but I'm on a SETV in Thailand now and I just made up dates on my application. Put 26 August for departure and 24 October return (60 days). Once I got my SETV I booked the actual flights which was 29 Aug and 24 Nov (90 days)
  7. They want to see the country your flight originated. This info used to be written on TM6 arrival card which is no longer used. I'd much rather just show my boarding pass then fill out the TM6 again
  8. Just an update on technology for all the people insisting airlines will require an onward flight. My check-in last month was all self serve and I never spoke to an actual person at check-in. The boarding pass/baggage tag machine also didn't ask me for an onward filght ????
  9. ^ yes, my friends and I have regularly flown one way ticket on Singapore or Thai Airways since 2015 and have never had a problem. Like above post, my check-in last month I got my boarding cards and baggage tag from a self serve machine and dropped my bag at an automated conveyor belt. Only showed my passport pic at gate. All the advocates of buying the cheap onward ticket claim it's because the airline will ask you for it. What do they say now if you don't even speak to airline check-in staff anymore?
  10. Did you not see these 12 pages of comments?
  11. Way to derail a thread with tax scare mongering. What a load of rubbish which is already debated in finance thread (as long as you're from one of the 61 countries with double tax agreement this subject is irrelevent)
  12. I rent a condo out through property agent. They charge 500 baht to do the first TM30, the renter has to pay for any subsequent TM30 needed during lease period. Only documents needed by agent is copy of chanote and passport.
  13. This is so funny, I'm working out what to say to mate new to Thailand next month. Ice in drinks is okay as bars take care, cleaning teeth with tap water is fine, just don't swallow Coffee and tea is ok just boil tap water....ah no, I won't say that ????
  14. At least I showed a pic for people to see meal unlike most on here who just say how great their food was and everyone seems to take it as fact
  15. So we found one sad face over my pork chop. Why don't you post your healthy food alternative that we can all sad face over
  16. Tasted great as well. However there's a sad face emoji on my post and a confused one on yours. Maybe the 295 baht was too steep for them as they are used to the 99 baht meals at Cheap Charlie's ????
  17. Why, it says the 61 countries who have a double tax agreement are exempt. That's all of the major countries so it's just another misleading news article with nothing to do with the Elite Visa
  18. Soi 15 is now open at soi Bukhao. They just need to move the rubbish they put in middle of the road Still blocked from Grand Avenue to Avenue shopping centre, the same 10 metres of road they had finished 2 weeks ago
  19. They should have made a fake immigration sign by now to take your photo against, save the petrol to drive you to immigration ????
  20. I hit and run Sportsman bar on soi 13 for their grilled pork chop for 295 baht. Was fantastic ????
  21. The same as what is required to convert a tourist visa as per your other thread (except different application form, TM86 form for tourist visa, TM87 for visa exempt)
  22. Vientiane used to be about 7-10 days prior to make an appointment but I just checked now and appointments are available in 3 days, Tuesday 19th September (so passport pick-up Thursday) OP below is appointment link if you don't already have it https://thaivisavientiane.com/
  23. Yep impressive, an Aussie degree is minimum of 3 years and normally finishing high school is 18 so how did he did he graduate with degree at 19?
  24. What a load of bs that queue reached the beach. Either way that's no longer the case as new air-con building in car park means no queues at all anymore. But you keep living the dream that agents are only way to go ????
  25. It's more about each country would have different rules. For example the 3 month health insurance for Thai Visa must be from one of the approved companies, needs a nominated certificate and info is entered into a data base that immigration can access. So I assume if you cancel a Thai approved insurance immigration could know about it (if they ever checked)
