  1. If you enter on a Visa Exempt Entry you can get a 60 day extension to visit your Wife.
  2. How about actually getting a real Visa based on having a Thai Wife without the need of "fixers" or other dodgy methods. Will sleep a lot better for it.
  3. Yes. You appear to have a 90 day permission to stay. A Re Entry Permit will keep it alive. 1,000 Baht fee.
  4. The passport will be cancelled but the Immigration stamps in it will still be valid. Get stamps transfered at local Immigration Office.
  5. They only needed 800,000 in the bank anyway. She needs to open a bank account in her own name and deposit at least 800,000 Baht. Then apply for the 12 month extension before her current extension expires. No need for agents. Immigration will help her. They don't bite.
  6. Enter the country with both passports. Pop along toy your local Immigration with both passports.
  7. Get your passport done now.
  8. This tax nonsense is all off topic. Just concentrate on the Visa advise and forget all the other BS.
  9. You can get a Tourist Visa while in UK. A stay of 60 days that can be extended at Immigration in Thailand by 30 days for a fee of 1,900 Baht. VISA: General Information - สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงลอนดอน (thaiembassy.org) Or a Visa Exempt Entry when you arrive. 30 days that can be extended at Immigration.
  10. Multiple Re Entry is 3,800 Baht and is valid for the length of your extension. (12 Months) It is highly unlikely that they will require photo of you both sitting on the bed. I have certainly never shown one in 20 years.
  11. Why will there be 2 books? Usually they roll it over in the same book. I always make a deposit on my Fixed account on the day of application and get the book updated.
  12. Tourist Visa and extend it at Immigration.
  13. You are not eligible for a VOA. You will get a Visa Exempt Entry that can be extended by 30 days at Immigration for a fee of 1,900 Baht. Border crossing is 30 days if you wish to do that.
  14. Many Embassies do not provide this letter. Most Immigration Offices want the bank letter on the day of application or the day before.
  15. As long as you are not caught before hand you will get a fine of 500 Baht a day and a stamp in your passport. If your overstay is only one day there will be no fine.
  16. A Non O-A Visa is a poor option because of the need to get a poor value insurance policy. Enter with a Tourist Visa or a Vise Exempt. apply for a Non Imm O Visa with 800,000 Baht in the bank on the day you apply. Then apply for a 12 month extension with the 800k in the bank for 2 months before application. You then have to leave the money in the bank for 3 months. Then you can reduce it down to 4 months.
  17. Apply in the morning. Collect next day afternoon.
  18. You still have to report. Up to you if you want to risk the 2,000 Baht fine.
