  1. I won't be holding my breath, but I am willing to bet this time next year, nothing will have changed. The streets, Zebra crossings, sidewalks, and public/private transportation will continue to be death traps.
  2. Which begs the question, who approved this conversion, who inspected it, and cleared it for use on Thai roads?
  3. Soon to be a resident of Dubai, give her time, the rest of her family seems to enjoy it there.
  4. Please tell me she didn't breed.
  5. Thai Regulator standards? The manufacturers standards? ....or Somchai's standards?
  6. Thai culture, everyone raves about it.
  7. Cue the celebrity commercial endorsements, add a gullible public, pump and dump.
  8. Lets hope they stop shipment of their products, or any repair parts, until Thailand comes into compliance.
  9. The owner should be in jail right now, and should never see the outside world again, I for one think he should get the death penalty.
  10. There is no effective police force in Thailand, and no active enforcement, so what do they have to fear?
  11. He's got bigger trouble now, BangkokPost just put an article out saying the owner failed to bring the other two buses in, but the authorities found them by GPS signal at a garage having the illegal extra tanks removed. The owner should get the death penalty at this point, and the garage removing the tanks should also be charged.
  12. The fact that there isn't even a proper road test to get a driver's license, says all you need know.
  13. It does, for about 1-2 weeks, then its forgotten.
  14. The difference is I believe they actually do enforce laws there, even if the people continue to ignore them.
  15. Here it is embraced by the Thai people, stop fooling yourself.
  16. Hallmarks of the Thai culture.
  17. No, what is needed is to shame the RTP into doing their jobs and enforce road rules and laws. They should be shamed, and made to lose "face" in the public eye, for dereliction of duty. Their King gave them the "traffic act", it was signed by him and made law of the land, they shame him by not enforcing these laws and protecting his people. In fact, the whole country should be shamed for not following the laws of the Kingdom.
  18. Nobody wants to see Prawit dropping a deuce.
  19. That's how we got here, when someone believes rules only apply to others, not themselves.
  20. Well now we know that multiple problems caused this, this is what Thai culture has produced when everyone looks the other way when it comes to safety. I blame the Thai people for this, the parents, the teachers, the government, the RTP.....all of them! Watching the false tears from the government employees and the PM herself just makes me want to vomit, they are all complicit in this! https://thethaiger.com/news/national/bus-ted-driver-in-bus-blaze-tragedy-jailed-previous-accidents-shared
  21. Look for unusual wealth, then you will have found the culprits.
  22. Isn't this where feces is supposed to gather?
  23. I lost that long ago, I no longer believe in fantasies.
  24. I'm sure that will make the families of the dead feel much better.
  25. Poor training and acceptance of safety measures/laws/rules by parents, relatives, teachers, RTP officers, government officials, can and do hurt students.
