  1. Living in Hartford was the issue, not living in the US.
  2. I know one thing, I feel safer on the roads/sidewalks/crosswalks back in the USA, than I do here. I thought I was back in heaven when I went back in May, clean air, clean forests, clean water, safe travelling on the roads.....walked my daughter to several parks/playgrounds without anyone trying to run us over, its was delightful! Stay out of the major cities back in the USA where the riff-raff lives, and life is pretty nice, at least our Barbarians are confined to certain cities/neighborhoods in the USA that are easily bypassed.
  3. I snorkeled without a vest (BCD) off of Kauai (USA), but that was only because I had a protected a cove (with a beautiful reef) in front of my surf shack, though we did have very strong cross currents. However, off of Ko Nang Yuan (Thailand), we took the tour boat and we used vests all day when we travelled around Ko Tao, we got lucky with only 6 people on our boat that day, and we were out for quite awhile. I had a blast, even with the life jackets, but the water around there was quite shallow. It's better to be safe than sorry when travelling in a foreign country, especially while taking part in any potentially dangerous escapades.
  4. That and my own observations. I have little respect for most Thai's, mainly by the way they treat others around them. Basically, I find Thailand to be a barbaric culture, I am averse to it all.
  5. I guess so, my wife seems to think so 🤪 .....plus she is the one who told me this years ago, which is why she wouldn't date a Thai man.
  6. I'm 55, and gave up my BigBike last year, my wife was happy about it, me not so much, but mainly I didn't want to die or be maimed by the numerous suicidal Thai drivers here. Last thing I want right now is to be injured or maimed for life, especially while entering an older age.
  7. As I am get older, I've contemplated using this method in the future, for now I am still quite a force to be reckoned with, so no need.
  8. It's best to stay away from the bars too, they aren't any safer than the streets.
  9. The Barbarians still exist, don't be fooled people, they are a threat to civilized society.
  10. Wear the life jacket you numbnut! You are in a foreign land, in foreign unknown waters with who knows what lurking in the water and no idea where to go if you go missing while floating around, or pushed off course. God forbid you drown, get stung by a box jellyfish, etc.
  11. So he wasn't hiding for 40 years, he was just living in Thailand for 40 years.
  12. Somebody like this should just be burned at the stake, and on live TV for all to see as a deterrent.
  13. Hopefully he dies in jail before his 3-1/2 years is up, maybe the British convicts are like the US ones, they don't like child predators.
  14. How the heck did he hide in Thailand for 40 years?! Was there just no notice to arrest him from Interpol until recently? If that is the case, then he wasn't exactly hiding, as he must have had to renew his Passport many times in 40 years. Sounds like they weren't really pursuing him all that time.
  15. I'll agree with that, which is why he should be banned from operating a Taxi, and based on the injuries seen here, he should be spending significant time behind bars. NOTE: Oops, not sure where I got "Taxi" from, must have confused two different stories 🙃
  16. I like the one flight attendant enjoying her job of recording things, while everyone else is wrestling with him. Hope he enjoys his stay in Korea, he may be there for quite a while.
  17. According to the Thais, it has everything to do with his trade. They see it as ruining the image they want for their country, he should be banned from driving a Taxi, as he is a threat to anyone he encounters.
  18. Darwin was right, I hope Somchai enjoys his award.
  19. I'm pretty sure she doesn't have an original thought in her head, Daddy gives orders, she follows them.
  20. Is this Chicago, or Thailand?
  21. You just described all Thai males.
  22. Because once a week they bring the shiny police vehicles out to chauffeur paying customers through the unbearable traffic and red lights.
  23. So two vehicles get in a crash, they pull over, a Thai beats the old Brit man over the head with an illegal weapon, and you want to throw the book at the Brit? The Brit is lucky to have survived a car vs motorcycle crash, now he gets beat over the head for pulling over and exchanging information, and now have his license suspended? Unless you can prove the Brit swung first, there is nothing here but an angry Thai wielding a weapon. In either case, the Thai guy should spend a few years in jail for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
  24. This "one individual" was also not fired, that should have been the first thing they did. Based on your own link, this employee did indeed do this, and multiple homes were bypassed by other employees "because of the order". Meaning this was more than one person involved, unless we are to believe that people would be so naive as to follow an illegal order, or as they put it, "The employee who issued this guidance had NO AUTHORITY and was GIVEN NO DIRECTION to tell teams to avoid these homes"
  25. I consider all RTP fake, they don't seem to be doing anything of any value day-in and day-out. I guess they just want to wear the uniform and look the part, Hell with actually working for a living.
