  1. Possible, if he damaged the steering, would be nice to see the pothole though. Wish the previous 30 seconds was on the video. Would take quite a pothole to damage the steering.
  2. To me it just looks like a typical highspeed death wobble. You can also hear him revving the hell out of it while the steering does the death wobble in the video.
  3. Yes, indicator on. Who wouldn't put one on to turn right? Not sure what you're saying in your second paragraph.
  4. If that were the case, they would be millionaires by now, I could write a million baht in fines every day within a 1-2km area around my house.
  5. I am pretty confident in saying the reason people buy Fortuna's and Everest's is because they want to fly over speed bumps at Mach1.
  6. Yeah, its definitely better with lots of dead people due to nationwide ignorance.
  7. It got out of hand here, they are now trying to put a stop to it, it appears Thai's don't know (or care) that RED and WHITE striped curbs mean no parking. They even put RED and WHITE striped poles every few feet on the corners to discourage parking there, what do you think happened next? The motorcycles decided to park there sticking out into the roadway, it appears they thought it was motorcycle only parking...SMH. Now they got RED and WHITE striped tape between the poles, I saw some of the tape cut and a few motorcycles parked there. It's just nuts the level of stupidity or ignorance on display here every day.
  8. No, read carefully, compression is important!
  9. One thing I learned though, is when we've gone to the police after an accident, they do indeed follow the law when it comes to responsibility. They just refuse to go out an enforce compliance on a daily basis, thus we have a society of drivers who are ignorant of the laws and rules of their own country.
  10. It's completely illegal, you can't overtake any vehicle within 30 meters of a junction (same for Zebra crossings). Dashcams (front/back) are your friend, they can't escape responsibility if they choose to drive like idiots and cause crashes.
  11. I have made some headway, I bitched enough to my daughters school, that they have now got guards keeping children safe in at least the two nearest Zebra crossings to the school. Also, stopped any U-Turning during dropoff and pickup, plus cones all the way down the yellow centerline. They have also started attacking illegal parking, which was way out of control and causing bigger headaches for safety near the school.
  12. Anyone making investments anywhere in Thailand must be out of their minds, you'd have better luck playing Russian Roulette.
  13. We just need a proper police force, the laws are on the books (Thailand Traffic Act), they just need to be enforced.
  14. Just noticed your screen name, most ironic name I have seen on here yet. I want change, I want police to enforce THAI LAWS! I want a safe place to drive, walk, and use a Zebra crossing. Driving styles? You mean the like the idiot in my video driving on the wrong side of the road? He should have his licensed taken away, along with anyone else driving recklessly.
  15. They are driving illegally, against the laws of their own land (read the traffic act), just because they do it all the time doesn't make it right or safe. Maybe you should stop being an apologist for dangerous people on the roads, or should we all just adjust by drive illegally, you know to "adjust"?
  16. Thai male acting like a Thai male, immature and emotionally unstable, usually armed and dangerous.
  17. Where is the pothole? All I see is a death wobble, and failure to recover.
  18. Daily police patrol enforcement of driving laws and behaviors, start writing tons of tickets, start towing illegally parked cars, tow away vehicles that are uninsured/unregistered/unroadworthy, arrest and tow anyone driving without a license. Fixing the problem is easy, all they have to do is get the lazy RTP mafia to go out and do their jobs. The longer the lawlessness goes on the worse things will get, and Thailand is one of the worst in the world for road safety. The WHO has already commented on it, and the lack of follow through by the Thai government is well known. https://www.who.int/thailand/activities/ccs-roadsafety
  19. RTP enforcement, it's the only solution, start ticketing and towing. The benefit is millions in revenue for the RTP, you would think they would be fully onboard with this idea.
  20. You must be delusional, they drive like idiots, simple as that. If you need more proof, I can give daily videos for proof. My favorite is when 100% of drivers don't stop at the STOP signs here in my neighborhood. These are STOP signs with a stop line and protected Zebra crossing in front of them, good luck getting across.
  21. There are driving laws in Thailand, we don't need to assimilate, they just need to follow the laws like we do. I'm not about to drive like a law breaking Thai to be "more understanding", these are dangerous idiots who should be removed from the road.
  22. I don't find it to be a small minority, it's more like the majority, at least here in my area.
  23. Works for me, other than lots of shopping malls, there isn't anything here that I find better than back home.
