  1. I mean the average home in America is probably $250,000 to $500,000, excluding California that is, and there aren't Lambos and Ferraris parked in every driveway. Why on Earth would anyone waste so much money on a horrible depreciating purchase? I literally purchased the cheapest SUV I could find, and its been a pretty damn good car.
  2. Yeah, I don't understand how spending the same (or more) on a car as they would for their housing makes any sense. It was the first thing I noticed when I moved here, it's just ludicrous.
  3. It looks like she got hit before entering the U-Turn, by a bus that was making the next right turn. Like I said earlier, I am guessing she moved across the front of that bus from the left lane, or from the middle of both lanes (anticipating the bus was U-Turning also). I find it hard to believe she was just sitting in the lane waiting to U-Turn, on a motorcycle, that just makes no sense.
  4. Not picking sides here, but are these sidecar things even legal on the road? I mean, I nobody follows the rules here, but can anyone just covert a motorcycle into one of these without any certification and then register them?
  5. Willing to bet she was running the middle of those two lanes and moved across the front of that bus with almost no room to spare to make that U-Turn (more than likely anticipating the bus was U-Turning also, which it wasn't), there is no way she was just sitting in the lane waiting to U-Turn, you would just make the turn on a motorcycle. Motorcycles do this dangerous maneuver daily even to me in a small SUV, so I know it happens, do that in front of a bus and you will never be seen. You can see from the picture this is a U-Turn just before a right turn, same as we have here very near the CW immigration office. Hopefully they will show the CCTV at some point, or dashcam footage, if there is any.
  6. Here in Pak Kret they U-Turn in the wrong direction (307 and 306 intersection), or through a Zebra crossing, to save themselves from going a little further to U-turn in the right direction. It's always nice to be U-Turning and have a motorcycle come at you head-on trying to U-turn illegally.
  7. Read again....she U-turned into the lane, which had oncoming traffic in the farthest right lane.
  8. I love it when my predictions come true, what a waste of taxpayer money! If they wanted a net positive return scheme, they should have spent the money on education instead. This is just another boondoggle brought to you by the PT, and will do absolutely nothing for the economy.
  9. More like impossible.
  10. Have they checked him out for unusual wealth yet? I would find it hard to believe ANY senior officers are clean.
  11. My reputation proceeds me, but I I've been on good behavior in Thailand so far 😜
  12. I actually like my Pizza Company Roasted Spinach and Tomato regular pan pizza, I add extra cheese and pepperoni. Not bad for Thailand, and I like that it comes with thinly sliced Thai chilis on it to give it a little bit of spiciness.
  13. 30 Days in jail, a larger fine of like 10,000+ baht, restoration money for any damages, and blacklisted for life.
  14. Smoking a cigarette and not wearing a seatbelt, add a little Yaba, and he would be the poster boy for stupid.
  15. Making a U-Turn into oncoming traffic, without looking first, is a time honored tradition here in Thailand (especially by motorcyclist), lack of training, and common sense. Darwin would be ecstatic to see his theory being proven daily on the streets of Thailand.
  16. This type of nonsense has created a generation of non-disciplined children in the USA, "Spare the rod and spoil the child".
  17. If this is allowed for foreigners to participate, I literally could make millions every month!
  18. Here in Bangkok speed is useless, most of your commute will be at 30-50 kph (or 0 kph), unless of course you wish to become a statistic. I love fast cars, especially when I lived in USA, but here, I just don't see the point.
  19. I pay for almost everything I buy personally with my SCB app (Lazada and any other online vendors), and just about every little vendor on the street has QR codes, simple and fast. However my wife wants me to use her CC as much as possible for purchases at Makro, Big-C, and 7-11.....she wants the points. I barely ever use cash for anything anymore, in fact my daughter seems to use my cash more now, she needs it to resupply her school ID card for food/treats.
  20. You want to eradicate poverty? Massive spending on education, and start hiring foreign English speaking teachers.
  21. Just let me know if, when, and where I can get a higher grade Port Wine.
