  1. It may have gone through his mind before the pole did, better luck in his next life, hopefully he learned something.
  2. Wouldn't this feed into his current EC case for openly meddling in politics?
  3. So a foreign Mafia taunting the established RTP Mafia? Maybe their Don will give the RTP an offer they can't refuse.
  4. So no more Champagne wishes and Caviar Dreams? The poor souls
  5. ....at the RTP, to the victors go the spoils.
  6. This should be a slam dunk for the EC, as Thaksin's political manipulation is well known, and documented.
  7. This (systematic elimination of many terrorists) is what can be achieved when you don't tie the hands of your military with political theater, and instead let them do what they were trained to do. Great job IDF, keep up the good work! 👍
  8. I wouldn't know about the private insurance issue, as my wife has us covered for insurance from the University Hospital she works at, but I rarely use it. Like you, not very fit (out of shape), but working on it 😉 I used to be able do 10 sets of 100 pushups, those days are long gone...LOL But I have been busting my butt every day now to get back in shape, and its starting to show results.
  9. You can change Thai Driving Code all you want, they just ignore all road rules and laws, they won't even stop for a Red light or a STOP sign. They drive straight through Zebra crossing with pedestrians inside them, they pass over solid yellow lines, they pass over hash mark areas, they park completely blocking traffic lanes, they park completely blocking Zebra crossings, they park and drive on the sidewalks, they drive in the wrong direction. There is no way any new driving codes would do anything, the only thing that will work is proper training/testing, and enforcement by the useless entity known as the RTP (Royal Thai Mafia).
  10. I follow all Thai driving laws/Rules, we should all lead by example. Only advice I can give is to make sure you have a dashcam front/back, it will save you when the inevitable happens, and hopefully shame the other drivers into learning to drive better. I got a kick out of watching one guy when we (my wife/our insurance agent/myself) went to the police station to educate him and his insurance guy, shame works wonders on Thai's, they hate being called out for doing something stupid😉
  11. Typical Thai driver, I could make videos all day long with hundreds of insane maneuvers, Thai's lack any kind of road safety discipline. This is what lack of drivers training, and lack of any road testing brings, add no enforcement of laws to the mix and you have one of the highest road death/injury rates in the World.
  12. There must be thousands of those buses right now being fixed to coverup their illegal conversions.
  13. I'm different, I find nothing of value in places congested with people, the farther I get away from civilization the better. Being stuck here in Bangkok, one of the most congested places on Earth is like living in a nightmare to someone like me. Now if I could only convince my wife and daughter to leave this 5th level of Hell.
  14. Glad to see both had dashcams, shouldn't take long to figure out if the pickup driver is lying, but I'll go with ...Yes.
  15. Yeah, I mean when I travel halfway across the world, I can't wait to go to a congested city and visit a mall.
  16. Prawit could croak any minute, I'm hoping he'll loan me his watch collection beforehand.
  17. Or maybe a lot of these guys are just playing the long game, where they stay until they get caught, why bother with all the paperwork and time spent at immigration?
  18. I can't believe that license plate, "THE CON" on the bottom and plate number "555"! This guy deserves a Gold medal for audacity, unreal!
  19. Don't worry, when this all blows over, they will get back to their pervasive culture. TIT
  20. How many had their extra tanks removed before inspection? Also, how many handed over a brown envelope and bypassed the inspection line?
  21. Are those in any way traceable? I know the US government has had some success at clawing back some of these illegal crypto holdings. But I don't how they did it, or if the Thai government can get these back?
  22. I honestly don't know why tourists keep coming back here, the first visit was ok, but after that my view of Thailand has gone downhill ever since. I just don't see the attraction, unless you are an aging expat who wants chase young girls around and sit on a barstool every night.
  23. Well, they should check the CCTV's, he may have flashed his highbeams first, which should have warned everyone to get out of his way.
  24. You can't make this stuff up, classic.
