  1. The taxes are paid on gains ie any profit above what you purchased it for. Withholding taxes/income tax on the gain at the progressive tax rates in the revenue code. You will pay back the bank back the debt you hold with them, there are also possibly penalties when paying the debt off early. The taxes/fees are: 1. Transfer Fee (50/50 buyer/seller) – 2% of the official government Appraised Value (usually shared between buyer and seller 50/50) 2. Specific Business Tax (seller) If you have owned the property for less than a year, the Business Tax rate is 3% of the appraised value, if you have owned the property from 1-2 years, the rate is decreased to 2%, and if you have owned the property for 2-4 years, the rate is further reduced to 1%. Moreover, if you have owned the property for more than 4 years, you may be exempted from this tax 3. Withhold Tax (WHT)/ Income Tax (seller) - Appraised value at sale - appraised purchase value = gain (any gain taxed progressively and paid at the land office) – Years of Ownership (with Standard Deduction of Expenses)
  2. Ridiculously extreme sentence if it was only for using a public car for personal use.
  3. Tax returns submitted at consulates LOL. The way they used to enforce it was long stay visas with tax residence had to show a tax clearance certificate obtained from the tax office to be shown at departure if border post immig asked. ie tax is cleared first with the tax people in the resident country and has nothing to do with a visa obtained at an external consulate/embassy.
  4. If you are living in Thailand and you give your salary to one of your children (I assume in Thailand), you are remitting income and will be obligated to declare and pay tax on it. It is the receiver who does not pay tax on gifts (ascendant, descendant, spouse etc...)
  5. I would think they stop you from watching youtube videos until you remove the offending adblocker, if it is only the popup message. If they send you a warning to your email then I guess they will follow the rules in their terms of service. You need to read youtube terms of service and what they allow or not. www.youtube.com/t/terms Are you logged in with your email account when using youtube and only watching content or are you also posting content? I see on reddit some other people are reporting the same since about 5 months. I guess some adblockers block certain things which is detected by Youtube and the you get the popup message. On reddit people are reporting they are not getting this popup problem with ublock origin.
  6. My country want to know but it is controlled by compulsory submission of tax return once a year and twice a year if also earning income other than from employment. If one does not submit a tax return there are fines, and interest charged.
  7. Nothing specified yet. But if foreigners keep asking immigration if they can volunteer and submit their tax documents I'm sure immigration will eventually oblige.
  8. OK I think the culprits are adblock ultimate and adblock plus. Try uninstall that adblock ultimate and adblock plus. Normally ublock origin should be enough (enable and update more filters in settings if you want), install privacy badger as well and that should cover it.
  9. Which adblock are you using? What is the OS?
  10. What issues? It works and Bluetooth works. Wifi works and the kernel now also includes realtek dual band drivers.

  12. OK thanks, I have not seen that discussion, that was my understanding, I will look more into it.
  13. It is still assessable income remitted to Thailand, if it is over 60000 baht so theoretically one would need to submit a tax return and use the dta and/or a tax residence certificate obtained from the home country to offset against taxes to pay in Thailand.
  14. No, under 65 it is 150000 exempt. Over 65 it is 190000 exempt On the first band of taxable income. It is not an additional allowance/deduction.
  15. Of course Thailand has the capacity to implement and manage this taxation based on residence. How do you think many other countries are managing to do it?
  16. I did, just read the first 3 if you don't want to read the rest of the list.
