Birth rate plunge triggers health minister’s urgent action plan
freeworld replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Exactly, its all about money with governments. -
Its not a money grab if it follows the law or new laws are implemented for govt to get new sources of income. No doubt foreigners residing in Thailand and making use of govt services and infrastructure should be paying tax in Thailand, this is a fuction of the world order. I thought everyone is agreeable to paying their fair share? This is the mantra spewed by many. Its all about being free.

Probably, they will just charge a price range of prices over and above an average kilo weight. Most people will pay more some less that others. The problem is heavy boned people who can do nothing about their physique. -
Online Extensions, via VFS ????
freeworld replied to Peterw42's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Why would a permanent resident need an online extension to stay with their Thai family? -
Online Extensions, via VFS ????
freeworld replied to Peterw42's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
A visa extension is not a residence permit. It is only an extension of ones visa to continue to visit ones family. It seems not so clear: 2.19 Family member of a Thai residence (Non-Immigrant) Only for family member of a foreigner (not Thai nationality) who has residence certificate and alien registration certificate of the alien granted residence permit in Thailand. Criteria for Consideration Foreigners are required to have previous Non-Immigrant visa before applying extension visa. Maybe one ned to apply for that temp. residence certificate from immigration and submit it to vfs to apply for a visa extension now? But then again, why would someone with permanent residence certificate need an evisa extension. It seems immigration/govt is farming the process off to a private company to control staff and costs. They put a private company between the applicant and govt which is going to see a regular increase in fees and need appointments well in advance to get the desired application date. -

Thailand’s government proposes swift minimum wage increase to 400 baht

There are labour laws governing the hours per work day and break/rest times and time off. Generally most people know this. -
Nonsense, what gives the US the right to kill other countries leaders. We all know about the invasion of Iraq and the farcical buildup by the US to carry it out. Extract from wikipedia (In 2003, the United States and its allies invaded Iraq, falsely accusing Saddam of developing weapons of mass destruction and of having ties with al-Qaeda) In any event after Sadam Hussein was captured there was an Iraqi court process. Gaddafi was dealt with by the ICC and by Nato supporting the rebels and enforcing a no fly zone and shelling Gaddafi's security forces (so much for the defensive organisation of only NATO members) Eventually Gaddafi was captured and met his extrajudicial demise probably at the hands of his own nationals. Basically what can be observed is nuclear weapons are keeping the US and NATO at bay from getting directly involved.

Are you suggesting extrajudicial murder of two different countries leaders. That in itself is also criminal.

You could try asking the baker to make a special unsugared loaf for you. Failing that you could try buying bread at another bakery store. Or you could buy the ingredients and mix them up and make your own whole wheat bread, be it in a pot, oven or breadmaker machine. Thats all I can suggest to overcome this dilemma.

Family pictures for thai spouse visa
freeworld replied to steph83's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
At CW, my wife and I tried that one year (reuse previous photos) and the immigration officer noticed and told us to take new photos and come back. My wife had to go back to immigration one day later to submit the new set of photos. Every year immigration asks my wife if the photos are newly taken ones, she confirms yes.
