  1. BOI aren't looking for retired builders or factory workers, they target people at the middle/higher executive level, and Europe most of those, with a full career, will retire with a pension that is close to their last salary earned. 6000 Euros a month isn't an extravagant salary/pension for an executive. I don't believe any of my former colleagues would earn less than that. There were janitors though...
  2. Well that is totally and utterly incomplete, my info is right, and believe me I have been active in Geneva 27 years... https://www.ch.ch/en/retirement/retirement-income/#the-oasi-state-pension-1st-pillar Your figure is only the meager state pension. Swiss have a "2nd pillar" and "3rd pillar", which are their main retirement income.
  3. That has been the case for decades. Being a nut is a requirement to join the taxi mafia and/or drive a baht bus.
  4. Interestingly you oppose two cultures here: Western European vs US. In Europe pensions of 70000 Euros are quite common, for my generation a least while higher assets are the norm in the US. For instance in 2022 the average pension, for Swiss men was 52672 (about 58000 USD) while the home ownership is on 37.4 %. Leads me to think that BOI should have kept all 3 criteria, but accept that tone of them be not fully met by some applicants.
  5. Honestly I think this is because this is only fine tuning to a visa that was well designed from in it's first version. Nobody ever believed that corny 1 million visas target. That announcement was probably made by some stupid politician who had no idea. A disservice to BOI's good work.
  6. It doesn't. I wouldn't make sense. It is the "Wealthy Global Citizens", different beast.
  7. Yep they want to get as many victims as possible to settle in Thailand before they remove the Income Tax advantages... But I'll probably be dead then and my beloved best half shouldn't pay IT on her inherited pension. lol too..
  8. Why would one buy an electric car? Look at LA, the city has been set ablaze by EVs... This is a preemptive post..
  9. She wouldn't last one day in most European countries. With a few exceptions, like UK where money has become king.
  10. Not surprisingly, my seven years in Oz were amazing, but only third to Yom Kippur war and my 15 months in Antartica.
  11. Whatever the netizens say these prices are ridiculous.
  12. Yeah, striking resemblance between these two..
  13. naahhh.. should rename that breed Pitbullseye.
  14. I volunteer to castrate it using vice, before poisoning.
  15. How about all the owners of dangerous dogs who mauled innocent passerby?
  16. More Hippos, the criminal kind this time...
  17. What's wrong with an entry level Ipad?
  18. OP are you in Thailand? Or are you going to reside less than 180 days in 2025? If that's so you won't be resident for taxation this year, so remit but make some document (notarised) that proves that these 4M are a donation to your wife.
  19. Doubt you can do that, with the existing PND 91, as B.7 [sum of B.1 to B.6] must be equal to A.2. This leads me to believe hope that there will be b.xyz lines (DTA, LTR, active corruptors, etc.) added to the "new" PND91. Otherwise I just wont file, and wait.
  20. While they have an LTR/WP visa... You seem to resent people who retired after a responsible and productive active life.
  21. Have you tried several outlets? I found out that my level of satisfaction will be better in Silom, and T21 to a lesser extent. This applies also to Wine Connection where Silom is way better than Soi 11.
  22. So if they plan to curb thefts via mobile banking by limiting withdrawals by "elderlies" they should now ban everyone from using motor vehicles during holidays.
