  1. Yes solid proof would be needed. Do you agree with me that such a case if the person is actively practicing a religion other than Jewish would be disqualifying under the law of return? That is my understanding anyway. I personally know a case where a Jewish woman married a Christian, converted to Christianity, and raised her children Christian, was later interested in making Aliyah and she learned that would be a problem.
  2. I am talking only about the specific part of Israel immigration law that is specifically about the law of return for Jewish people. That is an important founding principle of the political Zionist movement -- the goal of finally one nation state in the entire world with a Jewish majority. Israel isn't Israel without a Jewish majority just as if the Kurds (another ethnogenies group as are Jews) get a state it will by definition be majority Kurds. Israel doesn't pretend to be a USA (before Trump anyway) or Canada just as most other countries in the world don't (such as Thailand). I understand that you're obsessed with throwing shade at everything Jewish and everything Israeli. It's obvious that you don't respect Israel's right to exist or defend itself, and that you wish it never existed. Bigots and haters have always been with us. They are much more vocal now (unfortunately). I don't personally have knowledge about all the other options for immigration to Israel beyond the law of return but quite obviously there is more to it than that.
  3. I did when he was only a real estate grifter and reality tv buffoon.
  4. It's not personal. If he wasn't president and wasn't actively destroying my country, I would just ignore him.
  5. Again, although I don't know your specific case, I doubt you would be successful in an Aliyah application anyway. You're feeding a myth that it's a super easy or any kind of automatic process for all with any Jewish ancestry, including even those with two Jewish parents. It is much easier for practicing Jews who have a rabbi who can vouch for them, Jewish marriage certificates etc, but much more of a challenge for non-religious Jews without such connections. There was an exception for the large wave of Soviet era Russians who came in. I think that was probably about the history of communists repressing any religion, corruption, etc. so it's understood that a significant percentage of that group entering through right of return weren't really legitimate applications. For Soviet era Russians getting into Israel even through lying was an easier path to the west than other options.
  6. One man rule. Corruption, Grifting. Dictatorship. Revenge Politics. Labeling any opposition including any democrats as terrorists. Increased wealth for the already rich. Increased poverty and suffering for everyone else. Rewarding foreign dictators. Demonizing foreign democracies. Changing the election system so that it's impossible for the maga party to ever lose power in any branch of government, Fascism.
  7. Trump is not America. The current maga fascist republican party is not America. The protests were against authoritarian Trump rapidly and effectively destroying American democracy and all it's institutions. With a cooperating supreme court, it may well be too late. But it's heartening to see much more awareness of the seriousness of the situation. So all hope is not lost yet.
  8. We don't know yet if it will produce nothing, You sound like you're with maga, so that's what you hope. Doesn't mean it is so.
  9. No of course don't tell people. If they're fat, they already know. If they're aging badly and have balance troubles, they already know. Etc. Etc. Don't be such a rude and crude A-hole. An exception might be things like people with their flies open in which case they might not know. Good doctors would be interested in people's gaits for diagnosis and treatment purposes.
  10. I think the biggest overall national protest crowd in U.S. history. Surely, that's something. I wish it was allowed for American expats in Thailand to have our own anti-Trump rallies on such days.
  11. As a generality its usually better to get desired nutrition from food rather than supplements.
  12. More ignorant straw man hated speech. Collectively obviously doesn't mean all Jews. Duh. You totally distorted and simplified the historical development of Israel to spread your vile hatred. Zionism just means a movement of political self determination of the Jewish people. Hardly inherently evil. The Zionist movement predates the holocaust by several decades
  13. Most Israelis are native born. This isn't a war topic. It's specifically about Israeli immigration law.
  14. Each country has a unique history. Jews at only .2 percent of the world population collectively chose the idea of political Zionism with the hope that the power of a nation state of the Jewish people would be good. We can argue if that was smart but it' happened.
  15. You obviously are. Don't be coy. Didn't you openly admit it on another thread or am I confusing you with another member who obsessively posts trash about Jews and Israel?
  16. Chabad is not the place to inquire about right of return! There is a specific dedicated process for that. Nothing to do with Chabad.
  17. I'm not. Start a topic about it if you're an expert.
  18. I assume there's an old age cut off for military service.
  19. I don't think he's a Jew or seeking conversion either. So no point in your suggestion .
  20. A cool thing about right of return is that it helps create a diverse society in Israel. Argentinian Jews Ethiopian Jews Yeminite Jews. French Jews. South African Jews Etc. https://youtube.com/shorts/HnYC2O85Mtw?si=aXUTqWzagFVABM4r
  21. I'm not aware of free houses . New immigrants under right of return do enjoy special benefits for a few years including intensive Hebrew language programs. But many do fail and it's often about failure to make a living there.
  22. Many Arabs are Christian. We are talking only about right of return for Jews which is one part of Israeli immigration law.
  23. Not free but many Israelis are attracted to the west bank by more affordable housing. Tel Aviv is one of the most expensive cities in the world
  24. Many perhaps most countries have favored paths for immigration based on ancestry The right of return for world Jewry is a core foundation of political Zionism fron it's beginning.
  25. You can be not religious Right of return is about Jewish people. But you can't be practicing another religion.
