  1. She wants a pick that will help her beat the maga fascists but is not seen as overly safe and defensive. She is the underdog. Playing it too safe and she's toast.
  2. It's much more than that and you know it, it's about him being a proud Jew, that triggers the pro Hamas brigade. But this is for another topic.
  3. She definitely won't. His policy positions except for being anti maga fascist (which is admirable) are completely opposite to mainstream democratic party positions. There is being bold and then there is being insane.
  4. I don't believe that for a second. Better sources are saying that donors saying we're cutting you off was the final straw.
  5. VP is really considered the worst job in politics but could possibly be paying off for Harris if, a big if, she can pull off beating Trump. With so little time left, who she picks as VP will help define her, for better or worse. In my opinion Trump made a possibly fatal mistake picking Vance. He picked him when he was feeling he had a 100 percent chance of winning. He's still favored but significantly less than a sure thing. It was an arrogant pick of over confidence. It reflects on the Project 2025 plan to create an indefinite one party maga authoritarian state (or "reich" as was in their campaign literature for a moment).
  6. Any democrat on the ticket will support Israel over Hamas terrorists. Jew or not. As long as we're talking about avoiding great picks as defense against haters, how about Mayor Pete? As Vlad Vexler has said, an underdog like Harris with so little time needs to be BOLD (as opposed to being too carefully over defensive) to have a better chance. Shapiro or Buttigeig would be bold choices.
  7. I was sold on Shapiro when I learned he has Obama like charisma in speeches yet from a moderate. There is worry he would attract pro Hamas protestors at the Chicago convention.
  8. Have you forgotten Gore -- Lieberman which tragically didn't win (thanks to the already corrupt SCOTUS).
  9. Strange. There is zero chance AOC will be picked for VP. The "progressive" wing of the party is going to have to suck it up buttercup if they hope to have any chance to beat the maga fascists. Hillary is too old and knows what a crap job VP is and would never be interested. Also she lost before. Democrats don't do redos like that. Whitmer would be a good pick but low chance she would do an all women ticket as that would be a bridge too far for many male voters.
  10. Bow down to President Biden. This has been a hellish experience for him.
  11. Being a governor is executive experience meaning picking a VP ready for the presidency. James Carville has suggested Mitch Landrieu There are a lot of complicated factors in her choice. She needs a pick that will appeal to demographics she is weak with.
  12. No credibility. Obvious misinformation. Oversight Project. Founded by the Heritage Foundation. Creators of Project 2025 the blueprint for a one party right wing extremist authoritarian dictatorship. Connections indeed
  13. If he thinks debating will hurt him he'll find a way to not do it and blame Harris for it. Of course he's desperate to win.
  14. That's rich. The only reason he's running is to dodge prison.
  15. Newsom is irrelevant now. He won't challenge Harris and he won't be VP either.
  16. No most Americans presidential votes are meaningless anyway thanks to the electoral college.
  17. Born in Oakland. She did spend time in her youth in Montreal. Great city. What's next, a Canadian birther accusation? Her family moved around the midwest, then there was a divorce, and the area she lived in Berkeley with her single mother was a black poorer area. Berkeley isn't a gilded monolith, a large part of is just like Oakland. So she related to African American culture. Is that a problem for you? There is no one way to be black, Indian, or anything else, dear heart.
