  1. Right. The basic question is -- is Ukraine a sovereign nation? Ukraine and its allies say yes. Putin's Russia and his coalition of the killing says no. Not rocket science. Bring on the flamingos.
  2. I have a different answer. The checklist is NOT the official passport application. It's just a way of proofing that you've done everything required related to the application. I would say -- Dual Thai-U.S. citizen so no Thai visa. No current travel plans. Saying "none" actually raises questions. Saying what's up doesn't.
  3. Probably Vance still feels that way, but bought off by anti democracy American oligarchs, he decided to use the situation. What a sleazeball!
  4. Copied word from word from the current VICE PRESIDENT.
  5. It's not fake and the fact that Trump has denied it shows awareness of guilt. If he had owned up to it early on, he wouldn't be in nearly as much hot water about it now.
  6. Wow. Well I was way off base there. So they sent him to Bangkok Hilton. Both the conviction and that are surprising. I guess the question now is whether he will be put in the same cells as the regular people. Do regular people get better treatment just for being old? I'm really not a Thaksin fan or Thaksin dynasty fan either, but I feel such people (ex leaders forgetting the old aspect) should get special protection if sent to prison. Maybe that seems undemocratic.
  7. In desirable places the land is most of the expensive. You need space and infrastructure hookups. But low cost structures from Musk or anybody are good but they will not be welcome in most neighborhoods.
  8. Of course for those not in his cult and even many in his cult know he's a dangerous idiot too and that's how they like it!
  9. OK, there are possible elegant and efficient ways to reform this process. Put the flippin' form online! Then figure out a way to require people to prove their current alive status. They probably would never trust just a regular electronic signature but surely in these days of our advanced tech, there must be a possible way that is relatively fraud proof. Too bad Musk, DOGE, and the "smash it all" big ball boys can't do something actually useful in this regard.
  10. Your regard of the terrorist genocidal Putin regime as anything resembling honorable, reasonable, worthy of trust, and peace loving STINKS of an explicit pro Kremlin propaganda bias.
  11. Of course he wanted all of Ukraine. His initial war plan was to invade Kiev, kick out/murder the existing Ukrainian government which he called Nazi, and install a puppet government. That would mean Russian control of ALL of Ukraine. DUH.
  12. As I thought. This is a side question but something I've wondered about. For people who did start with an O-A, can use of an agent "erase" the health insurance requirement? Doesn't seem logical that it could, but they do perform "magic" for a fee in other regards.
  13. The trouble with that old saw is that Putin does not want peace. He wants Ukraine. So far, the only terms he's offered is SURRENDER.
  14. I agree that the above is a reasonable guess and I also concur that stopping by immigration to tell all and ask what to do now may very well be dangerous. The safe approach (and possibly the only approach) in that case would indeed be to continue the dependency on the agent. Which is not uncommon from my understand. Which begs the question, would there be any other way to EVER shake that agent monkey on his back other than starting all over with a new O visa?
  15. You may be right, but it remains my current understanding that SSA has not (as yet) cancelled next year's mailings but only that they have become more open to phone attestations as an alternative especially in cases where the person hasn't receive a form. You're welcome to post evidence to the contrary. It seems INSANE to me that they would cancel the mailings entirely. Consider how many more labor hours that would take to process! Also of course many expats will have problems doing the phone contact if they have to pay for hours long calls to the U.S. On the other hand, cynical me is wondering if they will indeed do this and that would be a clever ploy to kick masses of people off benefits because they simply could never get through to an agent (as they would then be even more massively busy) so gave even trying. I guess we'll see, huh?
  16. Thanks for sharing that. Not at all surprised. South Korea is a rich country so I would expect South Korean companies to outsource factory jobs. As said before my issue with phones from Chinese owned companies is mostly about the Chinese government not the build quality of their products.
  17. The war is between Russia and Ukraine. So if Russia can't win, then ipso facto ...
  18. Shopping over. Bought this phone: Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus 12/256 25,600 baht
