  1. You seem to have not grasped what this poll is.
  2. Picking Andy Beshear now sure would be a mind F!
  3. You're reading too much into that. He's a home town boy and their advocating for him. That's all. It's like politicians always saying they're gonna win even when they know they're losing. On the other hand, starting in Philly does maybe indicate that Shapiro was probably headed for the pick, but that can't be seen as an obligation if things change and things might have changed.
  4. Doesn’t mean much except he hopes Shapiro is picked. Shapiro is from the Philly burbs.
  5. It occurs to me that only political nerds really care about the Harris veepstakes.
  6. That's the kind of thing that doesn't matter with a VP. He'd be the VP. His position on vouchers would be the same as Harris.
  7. There's just that one problem with Shapiro. The Jewish problem. Where have we heard that before? Who’s Afraid of Josh Shapiro? - The Atlantic The Pennsylvania governor called Benjamin Netanyahu “one of the worst leaders of all time.” But anti-Israel activists don’t want him on the Democratic ticket
  8. There is no evidence that either of the lady boxers under controversy are intersex.
  9. It is definitely fake. The IBA Russian guy held a press conference about the issue and when asked to show results and details of any testing, said he could not do it.
  10. Very good president but no. Let that monument be what it is.
  11. I don't understand people who voted other. Probably just troll votes, but if anyone actually believes that then they think Harris is insane.
  12. You're suggesting Shapiro is pro genocide and that's garbage. Walz actually is the furthest left of the six. Why do you think he's been endorsed by Bernie? There are pros and cons of going left with her VP. I mainly want to beat the maga fascists soundly. Picking Walz may be both very bold and electorally smart. I'm happy if it's Walz but I'm sad that Shapiro who is sharper and more charismatic than Walz is going to be eliminated for having totally mainstream views on the middle east conflict that wouldn't even be mentioned if he wasn't a Jew.
  13. Sure. Which brings up the scary reality that the Haris surge can't last forever. But it should at least until after the convention.
  14. More games. He was against a two state solution when he was 20 years old. Since he's been a politician he's had a mainstream view supporting it. Yes it's obnoxious to assume his views on Netanyahu aren't sincere. If he's not picked it will indicate that any Jew that supports the right of Israel to exist and defend itself holding the same views of the majority of all Americans on that issue is somehow not OK for the highest offices. I say that because it's obvious that he was going to be picked and if he's not it's about him being a Jew not his views on the conflict. I'm for Harris regardless but it's funny not ha ha that Mexico has a Jewish president before the US even has a Jewish vice president. No I'm not suggesting at all that Harris is a Jew hater. Not picking Shapiro because he's a Jew as that might hurt her chances to win is a reasonable political decision but a sad reason. Not to mention she's married to a Jew.
  15. As before you have obnoxiously distorted Shapiro's position on the conflict. He's in the mainstream of democratic politicians on that yet you again obsess about his ethnicity. He does not support apartheid or genocide. "A dangerous and destructive force" "One of the worst leaders of all time" Shapiro about Netanyahu
  16. Well both Bernie Sanders and more significantly Nancy Pelosi are pushing for Walz. So either way we're seeing a finishing line drama. I don't know much about Walz but the feeling is that he would be better for the demographic that Biden did better with than Harris can (older white men) OR Shapiro can. So from a purely electoral POV even though Shapiro probably brings Pennsylvania, Walz could bring more in close swing states.
  17. This isn't really a spoiler alert because the pick hasn't happened yet and this news is out there. Reportedly, believe it or not, the choices have now narrowed to only two. Walz and Shapiro. Yes it's going to be awkward for Pennsylvanian Shapiro if the announcement isn't him at the Philly event. Harris' running mate choice narrows to Walz, Shapiro, sources say (usatoday.com) WASHINGTON, Aug 5 (Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has narrowed her search for a vice presidential running mate to two finalists, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, three sources with knowledge of the matter said on Monday. Harris, the U.S. vice president, is expected to announce her selection by Tuesday, ahead of her first scheduled public appearance with her running mate in the evening at Temple University in Philadelphia.
  18. If there was going to be two women on the ticket, it would have been Whitmer who really should be on top of the ticket, but that's another story.
  19. You sound upset that dear leader is losing. Maybe find a safe space.
  20. Not feeling it. It was about Trump. A man who can and does dish it out by the ton.
  21. Without checking any reviews, I gave The Emperor of Ocean Park tv miniseries a try. Didn't make it even half way through Episode One. Found it had no hook, boring, and low quality. But maybe black republicans will like it.
