  1. Thanks. Sounds like I was wrong about that.
  2. Stop lying. I never said that I support open borders.
  3. No it doesn't mean that and if you've been paying attention you know perfectly well that immigrants are not a political monolith. But you prefer to demagogue this issue.
  4. Well I would assume once you file they will be expecting you to file for life as long as you're here.
  5. No the laws are not in place for comprehensive immigration reform.
  6. Kind of a fun can of worms topic for entertainment purposes only. As we know marriage equality will become law in Thailand. ALSO, the government is threatening to criminalize weed for recreational purposes (the main point of the stuff). IF you had to choose one or the other, would you choose marriage equality OR legalized weed? Note that part of the poll is to indicate whether you are LGBTQ or not. Why? Well I think it's interesting to see how many LGBTQ people prefer legal weed and how many not LGBTQ people prefer marriage equality (if any).
  7. The acid test of enforcement on this is going to be whether immigration gets involved during extensions or not. IF all expats not earning money in the Thailand economy just totally ignores this and waits to see what happens, then what? Maybe nothing. Do they have the bandwidth or motivation to 10 year audit, kick us all out, etc.? For a group that for most part will owe absolutely nothing?
  8. High intellectual level response that.
  9. Jill Biden isn't really fat, but I sure hope she finally wakes up and starts singing! Joe -- you've had a great first term and we love you but it's time to pass the torch. Don't be Ruth Bader Biden!
  10. You've been totally DUPED if you actually believe Putin has really been interested in peace talks. No point engaging with people that have been duped by that war criminal.
  11. Putin isn't interested in talking. He's interested in Ukraine surrendering.
  12. Trump doesn't know how to fix. He destroys.
  13. Not so long if it's end of this year.
  14. What open borders? That's just rhetoric.
  15. Don't be naive! Race has always been an issue related to US immigration policy. Did you study history?
  16. I started to watch it and noticed he didn't mention that now intention could not be investigated and also evidence could not be gathered and determined he's talking garbage. Under the new ruling presidents can really do anything. Again Nixon would have been fully shielded.
  17. No I'm for comprehensive Immigration reform. Sane humane policies recognizing that tearing apart families should be avoided, easier faster paths for legal immigration, not disrupting industries that citizens don't want to work in. America needs immigrants. Always has and always will. America would be aging like Japan without immigration. There is no need to throw the baby out with the bath water. Why do the maga fascists like draconian measures? White nationalist Christian centered racism. Simple as that. Very ugly stuff. They would thrilled to welcome more immigration if it was Swedes who were coming.
  18. Shock and awe on his own country.
  19. Stop this fascist before it is too late. Comprehensive Immigration reform yes. Not this madness. To add, if Americans think grocery priduce and restaurant meals are too expensive now ....
  20. No surprise really. Orban picked his side long ago. North Korea next?
  21. Greenwald is part of the left. Its very hard indeed to take "maverick" Greenwald seriously about anything. https://www.thebulwark.com/p/the-long-history-of-glenn-greenwalds-kissing-up-to-the-kremlin The Long History of Glenn Greenwald’s Kissing Up to the Kremlin In his world, it seems America can do nothing right and Vladimir Putin can do nothing wrong. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2021/03/why-glenn-greenwald-says-tucker-carlson-is-a-true-socialist.html Glenn Greenwald’s long intellectual journey from center left to far left to, well, somewhere is a subject of fascination in elite circles. Greenwald comes out of a tradition of progressive journalism that focused primarily on attacking liberals and the Democratic Party from the left. Like many progressives, he latched on to Bernie Sanders’s two presidential campaigns as a righteous crusade to liberate the Democratic Party from the nefarious grip of its corporate, neoliberal masters. After that, things got weird.
