Maybe it always was that to some degree but American faith in the institution of SCOTUS is in the gutter, and deservedly so. Faith in institutions is what holds nations together and lack of faith tears them apart. It's not true. In the US the solution will be to raise the income cap to collect pension tax. Raising the age unfairly punishes the poor and minorities who on average die much earlier.
