Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
Jingthing replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
Definitely puts a massive amount of pressure on Zelensky as the Kremlin isn't close to surrender. -

The Kings of the World Poignant sad story infused with Colombian magical realism and harsh class realities. The sweet scene with the boys being mothered in a rural house of eldery prostitutes would make Fellini proud. https://www.eyeforfilm.co.uk/review/the-kings-of-the-world-2022-film-review-by-amber-wilkinson "The dreamy surreal and harshest of realities rub shoulders in Laura Mora Ortega’s San Sebastián Golden Shell-winning drama, which also suggests the past and the present have a closer interplay than you might first think. Her tale of five street kids hoping to claim a patch of ancestral land often has the tone of a fable, emphasised by its opening near-post-apocalypic opening of a city street, empty of everything except a white horse, in which a voiceover notes: “One day all the men fell asleep and all the fences of the Earth burst into flames.”" -
'Romeo and Juliet' child actors sue over 1968 nude scene
Jingthing replied to ozimoron's topic in Entertainment
Indeed. Pippo speaks the truth! https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/director-franco-zeffirellis-son-calls-002205055.html "Romeo and Juliet director Franco Zeffirelli's son has spoken out against the sexual exploitation lawsuit filed by stars Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey. Speaking with The Guardian, Pippo Zeffirelli called the lawsuit filed against Paramount Pictures last month "embarrassing" and maintained that the nude scene at the center of the complaint was "far from pornographic." He said of the case, "It is embarrassing to hear that today, 55 years after filming, two elderly actors who owe their notoriety essentially to this film wake up to declare that they have suffered an abuse that has caused them years of anxiety and emotional discomfort."" -

Huh? We have available most all of the video -- movies and TV going back over 100 years in the case of movies from all over the world and you can't find anything good to watch to your taste? Come on man! Yesterday I watched two Colombian movies. They were both good. Just an example. -

OPINION: When will Republican voters wake up to their own oppression?
Jingthing replied to Scott's topic in World News
The are extremely radical and they will be causing major problems but the American voters won't be so stupid as the blame the democrats when the republicans force shutting down the government in 2024. We've seen this game before. -
Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
Jingthing replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
It's very revealing to watch this video and see who was doing the same show in 2013 in Russia (before Putin stole Crimea) and to to see the usual fun (not war propaganda) tone of it. -
Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
Jingthing replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
Yes but the right wing in the U.S. has now been hijacked in the house by the most insanely RADICAL wing of that party. Which means it's definite that there will be more opposition to giving Ukraine the military help it really needs -- enough to WIN this war ASAP as time is on Putin's side. Why? They don't really have coherent foreign policy but they mirror the Putin's poodle attitude of the leader of their party, Florida man Trump. They are very ISOLATIONIST, which is very much about domestic policy, similarly to the American fascists also using the "America First" slogan leading up to WW2, You'll hear a lot of garbage from them saying what happens in Ukraine doesn't matter to Americans. Europe etc. must continue to step it up, because support from the U.S. is likely to weaken. -

Don't you just love people that say there's nothing good to watch? I'm not sure how to best choose what to watch because I'll never have time for 99 percent of what I would like. -

I can say that Owndays does a computer test followed by an extensive manual procedure comparing different lenses. I found the progressives from that satisfactory. There is a shop that is frequently recommended for progressives in Pattaya that is quite expensive. I tried them once and the scrip turned out to be quite bad. Of course I can't mention it. To add they would not accept the doctors scrip that I brought in!

Coincidentally I started watching the semi classic American Hustle just before Jeremy Renner was seriously injured. It's very roughly based on the Abscam Scandal, maybe you need to look it up. Anyway lots of great star studded acting, gripping story, and comical New Jersey color. Louie CK has a minor role where he made the ice fishing story that was never finished famous. You'll have to search for the ending online as it's not in the movie. Please don't post it here. -

Cynical empty gesture. -
The traitor recently had a press availability session during his pathetic New Year's party at Mary Lardo. Not one cable news network attended! Yet bizarrely because of the structure of the republican primary system he's still the most likely to be nominated even with only 25 percent republican support. Also yes he can still run from prison.

First retirement application.
Jingthing replied to rohitsuk's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I can do retirement extensions in Jomtien in about that time as far as time at the desk but I need to go in the next day to pick up my passport. This case is about two applications. Conversion to O plus the extension.
