It was mentioned that people are sharing their experiences here with Israelis in Thailand.
Although I do believe the negative reports when they happen and I understand the bad reputation, I have never personally witnessed anything like that here.
I have encountered Israelis MANY times in restaurants and even in a synagogue that I have been to because of their restaurant.
As a generality, they were cliquish, smoked a lot, were often a bit brash, definitely self confident, if approached about something like to ask something about the food answered normally but not quick to instant friendliness like Americans, ordered food normally, ate normally, paid their checks normally without any complaining or drama, etc.
But these were at Israeli owned businesses. It might be different to see the same groups elsewhere, I don't know. Well I did have one funny experience with that. It's not often you'll find Israelis at Iranian restaurants but I witnessed this at an Iranian buffet. I read them as Isaeli instantly. Not sure if the Iranians did, but why wouldn't they. This group was unusually polite!
