In your opinion. Hardly everyone's opinion. The fact remains he will enter his second term both an instant LAME DUCK and a convicted felon.

Under an odd quirk of New York state law, a person found guilty of a felony or many felonies as in the case of the president elect, can't technically be an actual CONVICTED felon until sentencing. Many have assumed he had dodge that bullet. He has not. The sentencing is scheduled for January 10. His inauguration is January 20. Ipso facto -- convicted felon president. So he can add that to his honors such as first president ever impeached TWICE.

I like his technical genius. I started hating him when he accused the western expats helping with the Thai cave rescue of being pedos. He's basically insane. Being a technical genius has nothing to do with being qualified to run government or boss around the world. He needs to be stopped before he does irreparable damage.

Jeez Louise. This official could be more diplomatic about all this and realize that it will take years for foreigners to absorb and understand all this especially as the messages we are getting about any details of compliance are so ambiguous and muddled. A bonanza for so called "advisors" if little else.

My current understanding which may of course be wrong is that Thailand has a self declaration system and income like that is not needed to be declared at all. In other words, if all of your remitted income was from Social Security and bank savings before 2024, there would be no need to get a TIN and no need to file. Of course if they see your transfers and audit you need to be prepared at that time to prove you were correct not have a TIN or file.

Very interesting. Is it possible to start with that already living in Thailand with no current U.S. mobile plan? First time I've heard of that as an option for keeping a U.S. number, do U.S. logins, and get two factor texts. 20 a month is reasonable for that. If that's an option for many, seems like that is a bigger topic than just Fidelity.

Fascists of a feather flock together. Disgusting that these two bozos represent the richest person in the world acting as co-president, and the completely inexperienced VP, a Big Mac beat from being the most powerful person in the world.

Avoid to pay tax
Jingthing replied to Jack1988's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Maybe. IF you are a Thai tax resident. IF the source of the funds is not excluded from Thai taxation under your nation's Double Taxation Agreement (for example U.S. social security which is excluded from Thai tax) Thai deductions applied such as for being over age 65 Possibly double taxation treaty can be used as credits for Thai tax due, if any.
