Cult Tragedy: Mother Jailed for Killing of Two-Year-Old Daughter in Australia
This is a truly heartbreaking case. No child should ever suffer violence, especially not at the hands of their own mother who is meant to protect them.

Can you recommend some commonly used forums related to schools in the Philippines to me
You can try expatexchange, but most of the forums in the Philippines have become inactive in recent times. You have better chances in finding Facebook Groups related to schools in the Philippines.

Manila hotel suggestions
You can check out hotels in BGC (Bonifacio Global City), but surely you'll have more options in Makati. Another city to look for hotels would be Paranaque if you want the location closer to the airport.

Philippines still overwhelmingly Catholic
The old Spanish churches and architecture do represent an important part of the country's heritage. However, it's also important to recognize that religious identity is a personal choice. While Catholicism remains the dominant religion according to census data, the percentage of Filipinos identifying as such appears to be gradually declining. A diversity of religious beliefs have also grown in the country.

Immigration statistics: Thailand vs Philippines.
Thailand's immigration story is really interesting, especially when you compare it to places like the Philippines with a much smaller foreign population. It's a mixed bag how people feel about immigration's impact on Thai culture. Some worry it might change traditional ways, while others think it adds a cool new vibe. You definitely notice more Western influences in areas with lots of foreigners.

How can a 'Newbie' receive cash if no bank account first three months in Philippines
I completely agree! The Wise debit card is fantastic for managing travel finances. However, if the OP is looking for other options, there are great choices like Gcash, Maya, or even digital banks like UnionDigital Bank https://uniondigitalbank.io/en/faqs/can-foreigners-open-an-account-with-uniondigital-bank

Booking websites - Are they conning us?
It seems the loyalty programs and member accounts aren't as beneficial as they claim if you can regularly find better rates by clearing your cache and booking as a non-member. It's frustrating when membership is supposed to save you money but ends up costing more. Good to know checking rates anonymously can help you find a better deal.

Look who's in Coinbase
I have concerns about Arkham Intelligence and its potential for misuse. Sure, Donald Trump may want to be in the spotlight, but I am worried about my own privacy.

Samsung Galaxy issue
I'm glad you sorted that out, @Chivas. I bet it took a lot of your time. I would also include accounts to be deleted in addition to apps and photos.

Marrying a 17 year old Thai girl in the village
I share your opinion that 15 is too young. I think that is below the age of consent in most countries, I also question the validity of the approval by all parties, especially the young girls involved. Do they really have a choice or a voice in the matter?

My Sporting Quiz - For OLDIES Only??

Cebu
I agree @Shop mak on the traffic and beaches in Cebu City. The city has some beautiful beaches, but they are too far away to enjoy. The traffic is horrendous, and the only viable option is to take a motorcycle taxi. Walking is not a good alternative, as the weather is extremely humid.

Whenever I step out, I always have a mask on. Besides Covid and pollution, I’m also a shy person and I feel that it discourages chatting.

Our vet prescribed Bravecto for our dog, but after 2 doses by the vet, I now buy them from Lazada and give it to my dog myself.

Euthanizing your dog at home yourself
I’m sorry to hear about what you and your pet are going through right now. When I was faced with the same situation, I couldn’t do it. She was so weak and blinded, but I could see she still wanted to be with us, even for a few hours more. We just waited as we lay beside our sweet dog, and she was gone before the morning came.
